Sounds good. I might sound a bit paranoia here, but could you confirm it with your daggerhashimoto account so I can delete that negative trust?

I thought the same thing.  That is awful quick to get it back were talking very very quick.  Email could have been confirmed on previous, but with no signature or normal proof I'm a little cautions.

I would treat like possible account scammer at the moment.
The thread in question was posted in both r/bitcoin and r/btc and was "promoted" in zero block (automatically), plus the high profile and high interest nature of what the thread was supposedly about implies that it would be likely that a reasonable person would get tricked into providing their login credentials to that phishing site. Looking at the timeframes that the password was changed and when the threads were posted also make it relatively easy to check if getting phished matches the times in question.

It is also very easy to verify that someone is an alt of someone else if they simply use the same computer.

I also would not be surprised if the OP is not alone in getting phished so the OP's hacked account would likely show up as alts of other hacked accounts that were likely hacked around the time the threads were posted.

And you got my post before deleted.  I deleted after seeing last active dates, it seemed to fit.  I could not find a reason good reason to doubt.  But that was why it was deleted.  And man are you fast if you caught it Smiley.

But happy all worked out well for OP in the end.

Ya me too! I really don't think I was the only one who tried to login to that site yesterday morning. There are probably other victims

Few days ago this website was advertising a fake mining machine, trying to defraud bitcoiners. Theymos should contact the Namecheap and Enom (host/registrar) to report this abuse. Everyone else can report the offending website for phishing to google: https://www.google.com/safebrowsing/report_phish/

Soundcloud (I think?): https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.10380715

But I have no idea if that kind of proof if sufficient, normally not of course (will be easy to buy same t-shirt and get high profile accounts), but this seems like an unique situation.

Either way I (temporarily) added negative trust to that account so it cannot be used for scamming (assuming you are correct.)

well, that yellow T-shirt is gone!! I totally forgot about it tbh lol I make shirts all the time. But that is my soundcloud profile

I'll add an old song up there and i'll call it:  "got phished!" right now!

Edit:
wrong soundloud, sorry. I have two of them. Here is the account mentioned in the OP.

I just went thourgh most of my comments and I don't see any addresses. I wasn't the tip begging type.
i do have an email address that is the same as the username but the guy changed my email address.

without a signed message from an old address your chance of getting your account back are quite low. but not impossible. you can try your luck and look for other means to prove your ownership of that account and PM theymos with your circumstances.

I know it's not a cryptographic proof, but since i never posted a bitcoin address on here, i really can't sign anything. This is all I have for proof and I really hope it's enough

Please see this thread i made a while ago:

https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.7963357

Now, here is a picture of everything in that image, taken right now.

*Removed picture it's above

Did you trade with anyone on the forum?  Seeing you have a coin if you can get someone to say they traded with you and show address and then you sign with that address add's more for you to get back.

It just is normally crypto used to get account back.  A picture even though looks legit might be harder to get back.  Other thing I would do is prove you have ownership of email that was changed.   If you can prove old email is yours again adds to you getting it back.

I never traded with anyone on this site. I had a sfx.io profile, but that site went away a long time ago so i can't use that to prove anything.

Yes, I have control over that email address that was changed. I haven't heard anything back from Theymos.

It's normal not to hear back this quick, sadly it can be a lengthy process and that is if everything is there with signature and such.  So hard to guess how long the process will be.

I would find a way to show you have control of email it was changed from.   Someone might be of better help of what email to send to, but that at least shows something.

For others reading if you have not done it already you should stake an address- https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/stake-your-bitcoin-address-here-996318 .  It is best way to prove proof of ownership.  So to late for OP, but others who have not done this should.

i can send an email to anyone from that gmail address up on request.
i'll stake my address for sure if I can get my hero account back.

that's quite a trick.

to get your account back, follow the steps mentioned on this thread.
also try asking for a password reminder from the login page. who knows, maybe they didn't change your email.

Using security questions to mess with the account will lock the hacker out of the account.Do you have any staked addresses for ownership of the account ?

Is this your account btw ? https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/slaveforanunnak1-265412

That was me! now it's some dick who stole my creds!

Hi, i just lost my  access to my actual account because i got phised!  I know.. it was early in the morning and I didn't double check the url

https://www.reddit.com/r/Bitcoin/comments/4hukl6/craig_wright_and_gavin_andresen_live_thread/

Someone logged in as me ,  slaveforanunnak1 and changed my password and also changed my secret question probably my email as well.

Anyway, is there a way I can get my account back?

Thanks
