I also feel this way, many threads do not have good enough quality, either what factors make it happen, maybe because they have just learned or how, but this is not bad in the discussion forum all members are free to express their opinions not out of topic forum and do not offend and harm others
Some of the threads are being called rubbish and some are repeated topics but ,truly this required by signature campaign , but I think it is a good thread because ,the moderator of the topic area in which the thread is being publicize, is being accepted by the forum moderator, if that topic is not valuable then the moderator should delete those threads.
I don't even understand why they are still farming accounts and creating rubbish topics along with it. They are never going to rank up.

Yes that's true, most of the thread are rubbish.Someone already posted that topic and then suddenly someone copy it and change some sentence or words on it and then posted it again.They getting an idea on that topic and they posted with the same idea.Why we not try to create our own thread ? A new topic ? A fresh and different topic ? I think that is a better idea .
I agree, so many repetitive thread. I am sure the thread starter don't even read the comments. So little topic but so many post to do for bounty hunters.
If it is rubbish then at least you are degrading the efforts and thoughts that they make, everyone here to discuss so freely to seek advice to the smarter and share knowledge possessed because there is no such thing as rubbish, if it for you does not make sense so I think you have not been able to solve complicated problems, actually simple in the discussion, if there is something you do not like or you call it garbage then ignore it while it does not harm the crowd, everyone is free to comment according to the capacity of each head.

Yes, sometimes I think about it too. why do people make the actual questions already asked. But I'm surprised, many high-ranking members are still responding to the thread as it should. Maybe someday there will be more stringent rules about creating a new thread.

Since all of the shit threads I see are supposed to be in English, I'd like to add that one of the hallmarks of a shit thread is when it gets overrun with posts in shitty English--just like this one is. The first thing I always think of is that these people who can't speak the language wouldn't be attempting to write anything in English if they weren't incentivized to do so by a signature campaign, and it drives me nuts. Yes, I'm in a campaign myself, but English is my native language. We've got people here who consistently write garbled nonsense, and they think that because their posts are uniformly 100 characters in length that they have a measure of quality that doesn't exist.
One other dead giveaway is when you get a thread with a stupid question as the title, like "What you like about bitcoin?" and every response is basically the same crap. Most of the people posting in a thread like that are answering the question as if it's a short-answer on a high school exam. Nobody is reading any of the replies and there's no real discussion going on. The Bitcoin/Altcoin Discussion sections are full of these types of threads.

What is the most funny in this kind of situation is that we could learn something even from trash threads, lots of people thinking in different ways and we could "learn" how people are reacting to most of the situations which have place on our market. I think the issue is because some persons just make posts in order to raise post counts. Maybe there should be a better moderation regarding this.
LOL, I totally agree with you there. Indeed some persons do make unnecessary posts just to make post counts. But if there should be a better moderation maybe then posting of nonsense thread would finally come to an end.
I agree with that! I noticed also that,there are so many threads with repeatedly topics regarding the fall of bitcoin,what are the causes,when it will recover etc. Why we don't create a new other contructive topics that can help all of us how to have a better future in crypto world.
Yeah right, lots of threads but with low quality even close to zero if I give a value with a range of 0-10, maybe they just pursue the post just to get the stake from the project they follow, but we do not be too panic in that attitude of tolerance and mutual respect will make the forum more lively and interesting

At least provide a solution to fix the problem. Maybe we could restrict newbies from starting threads in certain boards. I do agree this ia big problem though. If you tr to make a serious thread with good content it will end up getting lost and sent to one of the back pages.

Lol, you are not the only one that is worried about boring topics that are filling up the forum. And what I hate most is people repeating previous topics that we have already discussed on, so damn boring😏. Well, I wouldn’t blame, cause some of them are newbies and when they can’t find the particular topic they are looking for, they decide to open it to get their questions answered. So no need for you to blame them, but to be sincere I’m getting tired of it.

Signature campaign has made this forum looks like shit, no doubt! Hundreds of threads (nonsense threads) with thousands of replies (ultra-nonsense replies) are posted on forum every month. But it doesn't mean Bitcointalk is entirely loaded with spam and shit. It is most productive resource for learning everything about cryptocurrencies no matter you are beginner investor or advance coder. Best way to find best from this forum is by searching topic of your interest about cryptocurrencies on Google and add bitcointalk in the end of Search Query and it will bring best topics from forum on Search Result.
There were rubbish and stupid thread all over but when you read all the replies then there you can find good answers and that's one reason I believe DT are not erasing them...

That is the job for moderators to filter all of those useless threads and those moderators and doing their jobs great. We just have to let them do their jobs.
I highly agree, that is why we have moderators so that useless threads will be removed. And like what they have said, instead of complaining about those threads why dont you make a difference and make a better one? Atleast for a change, therefore not all threads will be useless. As a full member you should know this by now. Admit it, you've been reading the same topic made by different users, and most of these topics are "Best ICOs of 2018", "BTC vs ETH", "Hodl or Sell?", etc. you get my point.then what about the thread you made now?

I totally agree with you. Its just sad to see threads that create FUD or sometimes question that can be answered if you will just go around the forum and search for it. And those good threads are buried deep that sometimes you really need to dig and look for them. That's why mods are working very hard to delete useless thread, but its better if you can remove it to them as well. Remember, the total members are increasing by the day, so it makes sense to help the mods by reporting those garbage thread.

What did you mean by that? That you're the smartest? You open the thread there is a spam. Nobody's forcing you to participate in discussion of spam. Ignore these discussion branches and they will automatically go down. I don't like people teaching others how to live. Perhaps the that for you spam for other information. People are different.

Yes, i think you have raised a valid point, the fact that merit system was introduced, it hasn't reflect yet on improving the quality of posts and thread on the forum, i shake my head when i check some topic, they are total garbage, some people post only for the sake of doing it or just to fulfil signature requirement, i think better measure should be introduce to improve the quality of thread on bitcointalk forum.
Probably it's also due to the difficulty to monitor the answers you receive in a thread where you post.

I think the quality of threads in this section is not as bad as it used to be. I have a lot of good material in my bookmarks I can post if needed. Maybe later I will. Some of the best material on topics which belong in this section were authored 5-10+ years ago. It might help people to better understand Satoshi's perspective and motive for creating bitcoin if they read some of the better material published around the time of the 2008 economic crisis.
This section could benefit from more active posters and greater feedback. I should probably make more of an effort to make better posts in this section but it is hard. I always get a feeling not many bother reading anything said here which makes it hard to invest time to post content of higher quality.
