What the hell is "[PMC] Premine! - 100% Premine / 100% Distribution - Mining TX fees only"? Why this kind of sh*t gets the focus? Is there a rule getting rid of this kind of post in this forum? Bitcointalk is filled up this kind of scam?

So what we pay for buying PMC gets into the pocket of the developers. Are you guys seriously considering that this is what you are investing? They get money, because you may lose.

Ok, another logic, you are expecting more profits than what you invest. See there will be some other people just losing more money. Is that simple?

I think the only real question is:

Why has it taken so long for PMC to get popular? Wink

Next time please do your Research first. The coins were given for free. And you can still get some (even) without mining. How is that scam?

The point is now that coins can be just created, like the fiat currency, by not the government, but single person. This is a wrong way of going. What if someone publish another similar coin, and more and more? There can just be easily out, without much effort, like mining.

Yeah that is true, but I doubt a clone will work again. The appeal of PMC doesn't come from the coin itself but the community around it. Much like doge.

If this gets something, there will be lots of similar coins. Mining is useless.

What are you doing in the cryptocurrency forums then? This is  a huge part of the whole idea behind crypto.

If someone wants to publish a similar coin, let them. It all depends on the community for it to gain worth. There have been many coins that just die without community support.

If it creates value then the coin becomes worth it. PMC is given away for free, if enough people want it then it creates "value" behind the coin.

I have not invested in PMC, but I can understand the appeal/value behind it. The real benefit behind PMC is the lack of inflation. There are no new coins being minted meaning market cap increase -> coin price increase. Inflation is a very big worry when investing in coins. Another good thing about it was the effort to distribute the coins from the beginning. I haven't checked on the top coin holders, but I don't think there are holders (other than maybe dev who might be still distributing) with more than 5% of coins. Also there is a pretty active community that are trying to crowd source feature development. Seems like it will have a decent future.

seeing how Premine (coin) is working, nobody really paid much(if anything) in the beginning and it was spread from there.  I didn't read much into it but it seems like a majority of it went to people who were interested early enough and just posted their account info.

It's more a play on the fact of how a coin develops "value". Through use of electricity mining the transaction fees, etc. If more people want it then the value increases.

It's funny how people are calling it a scam without even reading the thread. You get given it for free. A few people are trying to stockpile it and sell it, but that's up to them. It's a free market. If you want some PMC, you just go into the thread and ask for some. There's no conspiracy here. The dev has been completely transparent about the whole thing. It's been quite fair, actually. Apart from a handful of hoarders who are trying to be greedy, but hey, what can you do.

Have you even read the thread? Nobody paid a penny for these coins, they were distributed completly and were launched as an experiment, not as a motivation to make quick money. The schemes of fully mined coins that we had before were based on IPOs, which meant an investment from the user side.

Nobody is asking you to like or support it, but unreasonable FUD like this won't help anyone.

Nobody is forcing you to read the thread. Don't like it? Find another coin you like. It's a free market.

I don't think you quite understand how PMC works. I suggest you do some research first. Almost everything you said is wrong.
