So surprised again !

Sometime Bittrex make me so surprised exp delist BitShares BTS , and now BTG

The BTG markets (BTC-BTG, ETH-BTG and USDT-BTG) will be delisted and removed on September 14th, 2018
I think trex are making some big mistakes by delisting so many coins similar to what polo were doing in the past - they delisted some great coins this year - such as XMG, a lot of people are going to be moving away from such an exchange - 'topia seem to be mopping up a lot of the mess they are leaving behind

Is there a way to get the BTG back at Bittrex after this delisting (today) ?

Bittrex constantly delist the coins from the stock exchange, in which the trading volumes are small, it is not profitable for them

BTS is actually a coin I never expected would be delisted from bittrex anyway but they sure have their own reasons for it. BTG on the other hand still remains the fork of bitcoin which was not really necessary anyway, so delisting it may actually be something worth it.

However, so many decisions that bittrex has made in the past with respect to delisting of coins sometimes can actually be worth questioning as I still would not have seen the need for delisting it when considering there are so many shit coins listed on the exchange.

I remember the time, it was very profitable to mine and the price was good, but then I watched as the price goes down
I wonder why anyone would want to be paying so much attention on BTG anyway, knowing this is just one of those forked scams that should not actually be considered as any quality investment in the first place, except for some bunch of developers who are looking at enriching their pockets.

I am sure bittrex must have had their reasons and so far so good, I really do not see much development coming up for BTG anyway in the long run, and except the team comes around to give something interesting than just a wannabe coin, then they might stand a chance but for now, it is nothing.

i think bittrex is delisting different coins because of some issues that is and will be non-profitable to both end and i think bittrex has the right to do so and they are not just going around and make delisting without any reasons right.

Bittrex recently removes many different coins. I have long disliked this exchange. They like that they did not credit my money and I tried to get in touch with the support for a long time. All to no avail

Bittrex right from the time is known to be reputable exchange and as such they delist coins they feel is no longer safer and good for their customers, that's one of the things that made them a good exchange, they are not like other exchanges where the team will list the coins and went asleep, For bittrex to delist BTG, there must be a good reason why they did that.

there is nothing to be surprised about. exchanges delist altcoins from their exchanges all the time. i have an account in a lot of exchanges and almost every week i receive a new email telling me of a list of altcoins that are being removed from one of the exchanges.

they remove those that stopped giving them profit. the profit is publicly the fees they earn but it also is the pump and dumps them perform themselves and coins like BTG that are fork coins are  shitcoins that have an expiration date.

Bitcoin Gold should compensate Bittrex for their loss.

But since Bitcoin Gold are tight bastards, they didn't.

As such Bittrex had every right to tell them to fuck off.

No surprises. Once again we were convinced of the market where we are all. Only money rules here. Not paid for listing on the exchange, thank you, we say goodbye. No wonder.
In this case, Bittrex are right. BTG should be responsible for their chain and should recompense for the attack because what they more or less claimed is such attack is impossible on their chain. But it happened nonetheless

I think bittrex has done the right thing to get rid of shitcoin from bitcoin hard forks and I hope that other exchanges will do the same thing as bittrex.

lol yeah . bittrex is a famous exchange thats why they will only keep those reputable coins like bitcoin and other top altcoins like etherium , bitcoincash , ripple , etc .  they will definetly remove those sh*t coins and hard forked coins to be able for them to save some space for future listings of solid coins .

its not really surprising at all . dont worry @op because there are still a lot of exchange out there that you can use to be able to trade and buy again the btg and bts coins .

Bittrex is a very careful cryptocurrency exchange and they prefer quality over quantity (of course this can be debatable). As for Bitcoin Gold or BTG there can be strong reason or reasons why Bittrex decided to delist the coin. Anyway, in my perspective this coin is of no use and it came alive just for the people behind it to make money for themselves and now that the goal had been meet then it is time to let the coin die its natural death. Who needs BTG, by the way? With less demand, it is time to let it go!

I do not see the surprise, bitcoin gold has been a scam from the very beginning, but at the time people were excited about the coins they were getting and thinking about the possibilities this will bring, but like always it was nothing more than empty promises and the only ones making money out of this are the creators of this coin, let this be a lesson for all of us, there is only one bitcoin and no forked coin will ever replace it.

I don't think this coin had a future in the future, so I think they did it right that they withdrew from the auction !
I also think that in the future this coin will die or very low value. BTG's bittrex volume is very low so they delete it is perfectly reasonable. price before 450$ and now it  21$, many people have lost money when investing in it

Thank you for advance information mate the information you can share is very helpful for those people holding BTG coins in bittrex

This delist of BTG from bittrex  is another challenge for the cryptocurrency community because one of the most popular coins include in the top 20 coins become unuseful coin in one of the pioneer  exchange

They are delisting only coins with low trading volume and this low trading volume is caused by that fact that people are not intersted to buy, sell or even use this coin.
All of the Bitcoin forks are useless coins Wink.

Another reason for the delisting could be Bittrex is trying to get rid of all the smaller bitcoin forks. Remember Bitcoin Private in March where many people were speculating that Bittrex will list the coin. Bittrex is only leaving Bitcoin and the most "established" fork like Bitcoin Cash in its exchange. The rest of the bitcoin fork could turn into scams and Bittrex does not want to get into trouble with regulators.

Just imagine what would have happened when they would have
paid the BTG to Bittrex. As soon as another exchange suffers a BTG loss
the devs would be pressured into another bail out.

Oh absolutely. Their hands are effectively tied. However, an exchange is still a business. If they are trading any coin/stock/share/commodity/etc. and that product poses a security or financial risk to them, they are well within their right to cease trading. They are under no obligation to continue to put themselves at risk for someone else's benefit.

I think Bittrex were more than reasonable offering to cover half the loses.

I'm not sure I agree with their assumption that the exchange should absorb the loss from their 51% attack, especially when BTG had such a big pre-mine given to the creators.
...

They are faced with a serious predicament here. On the one hand
Bittrex is an important market for BTG. But on the other hand the devs
obviously can´t bail out an exchange for BTG-related losses everytime
that a problem occurs.

Just imagine what would have happened when they would have
paid the BTG to Bittrex. As soon as another exchange suffers a BTG loss
the devs would be pressured into another bail out.

Usually the low interest towards a coin leads to delisting.
Sounds like a good reason why Bittrex delists BTG, but probably other reasons play in aswell.

It seems that Team BTG and Bittrex did not have a common agreement on fees. And they dell list it, I see BTG in bittrex does not have volume so this dell list will not affect the price and future of BTG

I'm so surprised either but what the BTG team said was the delisted was due to some certain amount of BTG not been pay while the bittrex market and token removal rules stated that "Experience with token applicant/team and their responsiveness to information requests". I will everyone that have BTG on there to withdrawal it before the deadline(14th Sept).

Between the 3 Bittrex markets, it represents just over 10% of BTG's trading volume at time of writing. So yeah, while this won't kill the coin, it will likely accelerate its steady decline.

The delisting is related to a double spending (51%) attack on the BTG network that happened some months ago.

The BTG organization published this statement:

Quote
We regret to inform our community that the crypto exchange Bittrex has decided to de-list BTG after we declined to pay them 12,372 BTG to remain listed.
[...]
Bittrex announced this decision today based on a double-spend attack they suffered back on May 19th, despite all our efforts to assist them, and despite the fact that the danger is now over.
[...]
Bittrex informed us that they make this decision because the BTG team would not “take responsibility for our chain,” and that taking responsibility meant paying Bittrex 12,372 BTG to cover the loss they incurred.
[...]
Source: https://bitcoingold.org/statement-regarding-bittrex/

You can read the entire statement, but essentially they claim they can survive without Bittrex.
