This can be said to be cool to be used as a collection, but if you think 21 million bitcoins are made into banknotes I think this is not very suitable, because I am afraid that paper money will be very easy to forge, if only for collections I am very interested, I am prefer to keep my bitcoins in my online wallet, because it is much safer ..

No offense but personally i didn't like this collectible. Makes no sense. It's sort of irony on bitcoin itself which is against such sort of notes based currency.
The bill design would look good on Tshirts, something to show when you attend in coin conferences.

Lucho Poletti who created this art painted the 2.1 quadrillion satoshi to be the internet money but will the 2.1 quadrillion satoshis enough for the entire world's currency?  Only the future could tell but I'm hoping every satoshi will be worth keeping in the future too.

Yeah it's a neat little thing, nice it references what can happen with unchecked fiat (the Zimbabwean dollar). I think the bear and bull are nice touches but I'm not a fan of the guy Fawkes mask, seems to 4chanish or anonymous and that is not who or what Bitcoin is.
Yes i was thinking that where have I seen such a currency note with these much zeroes i saw it on Zimbabwean currency note on the internet during their hyperinflation phase. Looks like they got inspiration from that note only because it looks pretty similar. Here is that note:

I liked the irony of the zimbabwe currency being a high denomination for literally worth nothing in the american dollar.
So I purchased one a little while ago and have it hanging on my wall as a reminder how worthless fiat really is. Cheesy

The banknote looks nice, but I wonder what the other side of the bill looks like?  This bill printed and put in a wallet or in an album would be great.
If the note represents 21 million Bitcoin, it should be a single bill.

It’s really cool, though it’s not a real currency but a paper. But, Bitcoin is a digital currency and there is nothing to do with paper the way I see it. If you check the system and how it’s meant to be you will see that there is really no need for the paper form.

The world is evolving and technology is taking over so we shouldn’t really be talking about papers. Technology is what I’m into, and I mainly make use of online payment systems and even for purchase. Being online means that you can use Bitcoin to make quick transactions any place in the world.

If ever this was the real note and you had the entire supply of bitcoins in your palm, than I can bet you would be the most powerful individual until now. You would have been able to purchase any country or anything you would like to. You would even have build your own country if you have 21M bitcoins in your pocket.

I can't stop imagining how powerful you might become if you get such huge funds. But, have you ever though how could you use those bitcoins if you are the only person holding the entire circulation? No one would be able to buy from you and this would create the demand equal to zero which would never allow bitcoins to gain any importance. It would no longer be profitable and just would end up being a hard wallet copy having no demand.

Bitcoin is gradually increasing its value. I think that more work should be done on bitcoin academically. Never mind manipulative movements in exchanges. Blockchain offers us a new economy model. Let's not symbolize this with paper money.
There already are paper wallets which could be compared similar to the paper money but it would never affect the originality of bitcoins. In fact, paper money makes it easier for us to gift someone with bitcoins or physically pay for commodities with the bitcoins held in the paper wallets.

Blockchain technology is the most advanced financial technology until now but yet there needs to be some more futuristic changes which have to be made to the networks in order to create a more easier and convenient flow of bitcoins. Considering the case OP mentioned, this would never be possible in real life and we could only assume it being real in our dreams or in any kind of play.

So do you mean this is bad publicity for cryptocurrency as a whole (since bitcoin is the one who started it all) even if it is a joke/memie bill?

I think I will be purchasing some of these cassius coins instead as they seem to have a more reputable foundation from the bitcoin community than any founding crypto bill making company.
Casascius have been around since 2011 (stamped right on the coins) as far as I can tell from the early coins available in the collectibles section on these forums.

I do not like it when people design coins and fiat currencies with links to Crypto currencies, because it just confuse people. We want to do away with physical notes and coins and then people create notes like this and people think it is real.

A note like this also gives the impression that Bitcoin is worthless, because countries with hyperinflation creates notes like this with crazy denominations. At one stage, the Reserve Bank of Zimbabwe offered to exchange their dollar for the US dollar at the rate of 1 USD to 35 quadrillion Zimbabwean dollars. That was the time that a 100 Million Zimbabwean dollar was printed and the rest of the world laughed at the ridiculousness of their economy.

Printing notes like this, gives the rest of the world the impression that Bitcoin is the next Zimbabwe.  Roll Eyes

Bitcoin would be too difficult to contain in a bill or a coin. They could be made in such a way that they may be traded as the displayed value but only be redeemable to bitcoin when they are destroyed. But it would again be equivalent to bitcoin but not exactly bitcoin. Like the way lightning network works.

So all in all, these bank notes are becoming collector items rather than a store of value.
It is looking like a cashless society is coming closer than we think with everything going digital.
With these bank notes/paper they will just be something to put on your wall for decorative purposes sooner then we would think. Grin

I don't know what you mean by "sooner", but such processes do not happen overnight - although they have been around for some time in some countries (Sweden) where paper banknotes almost got out of use. Realistically, cash will increasingly be replaced by digital money, and of course for the sake of easier control over money flows, corruption, a crime of all kinds.

I believe that this process will proceed gradually and that every new generation will use less and less cash, which will eventually lead to decisions to completely abolish such payment. Since the European Union also has the European Monetary Union, many countries no longer use their national currencies, so they have become mere ornaments and something that interests collectors.

Nice collectible!

On a side note, people should start seeing Bitcoin as a currency of the world, of actual physical transactions. Bitcoin is a currency not just in the internet but also outside.

But if Bitcoin will have its note version, that would be a digress from its being a digital currency.
I agree once it has its own note version where you can hold it on your hand,  it will expand more its usage in this world not just in the virtual world but also in the real world.  Because by that we dont need to convert it anymore.

The design is quite good and creative and it would be better if you show the design on the back display to look perfect like a paper currency because the front and back images have different images.
but you have shown your concern for bitcoin and only design and creativity must be respected and does not mean that bitcoin will be shaped like paper money and will only be a good collector's item.

You should crumpled it for your own security mate, owning the total supply of bitcoin is too dangerous probably wont bring that always on my wallet. Well, kidding aside collecting this kind of paper money is great even if there’s no value at all, the candle sticks, bull and bear makes this paper extra especial and thanks for sharing this one maybe I should also put this one on a frame.

I bet it would be hard to use that money if it ever comes into existence, though. I don’t know why, but seeing a lot of zeros in one note doesn’t make me feel good just because of the idea that inflation is real, and that’s what bitcoin is trying to eliminate. I hope that makes sense.

This would be a great collector's item but not an actual bill to use LOL.

I started my own coin collection lately although this piece is a paper bill, this looks amazing. As someone who's into bitcoin, I might add this to my collection in the future.

It looks like a real one but it's better if it isn't 21M btc.
This is a good collectible indeed. And at the same time it could also be a nice way to remind and to let people know before entering bitcoin that it is mainly designed to be a currency, not a form of asset. Though most people here are benefitting from bitcoin's profitability, with enough support and development on the technology that supports bitcoin, there's no telling that we might get something like this in the future.

Looks Amazing. But having Bitcoin note version is a dream which is impossible as Banks do not accept bitcoin and many countries are not regulated Bitcoin is a decentralized crypto currency than keeping Bitcoin in Bank holding in Wallet is safe and secure. Bicoin can never be in note version.

Really cool piece. I'm sure there are more collectors out there looking for this kind of stuff. Quite a perspective changer and a fascinating result when you assemble old ways of doing things with the new ones.

I'm sure everyone would like to hold that bank note in their hands  Cheesy
They are collectible pieces but some are providing an address on them or even qr code so they can be loaded with an amount depicted on the face value of each note.
They are not considered legal tender as bank notes are required to be authorized by a governing bank. BTCitcoin will never allow one of those centralized institutions to have control over it. It is just not in its DNA. Smiley

Even though this is not a real banknote I'm not interested into collecting such papers.
If it's paper money,it can be faked. Grin
I prefer to keep my bitcoins in my online wallet.
I hope that no people will be scammed into thinking that this banknote is an actual bitcoin and has real monetary value. Some scammers might be looking for victims on social media and local classified ads sites and selling them such papers for $$$.
It was created as a gag, just like those notes made with celebrity or iconic faces on them. Nothing more.
But yes I can see where you are getting this idea as those not so inclined to know it is impossible to hold 21 million bitcoins since that is the total supply which can be created so no one would ever own this amount let alone on a bank note. Wink

Yeah, I guess I can print it but I was hoping for something better, that looks and feels like an actual real bill.  Regular printers can't do that  Tongue

Thanks for the link.
You are right. The paper is different (a special stock type) and the ink used would need to have it go on over the surface so you can feel the bumps like braile.
As I mentioned above there is a company and a few others who produce crypto bills which can have the face denomination put on the final product if you so desire. Yet this denomination would never be fulfilled. Wink

I just assumed you're going to print it for the sake of making it a decoration(e.g. putting it in a frame Tongue). With that said, you can probably buy some construction paper if you want it thicker.

Not only that. As much as I want bitcoin to have a physical note version, for bitcoin to have a note version, you'd have to trust a centralized entity(like a bank LOL) to actually print the papers, with at the same time, making sure that it doesn't become IOUs like how fiat money has become. So yea, it would completely defeat the purpose of being decentralized.

Would love to own one of those, are they one sale somewhere ?
