Most ICO projects will present a beautiful white paper of their project, but when they release their project, it will be far from what is been stated on the white paper.

So Who Agree with me On this picture about ICO projects?

I do agree with you. ICOs will promise heaven and earth, talk about their earth shattering technology and all of the great things that they are going to do with the project. Then they put half assed efforts into the production process of the coin, that when the coin is finally at the point of release it turns out it is nothing but a scam coin, which is just a disappointment.

Laughed quite a bit at this photo and yes it is true in a lot of cases. Although perhaps slightly generous to the final product haha.
This is why it's important to understand who is in charge of the project, their experience and knowledge and past projects. Happy investing!

The picture describe most of the ICO these days but it does not necessarily represent the totality of ICOs. The blame on why this happens can be directed both ways; the investors who have no faith in the project or the team responsible for building the product is negligent. A proper balance of these two can erase the bad portrayal of crowd fundings.

It is true that certain ICOs look like the image and that is the reason why the projects fall and their Tokens do not reach an exchange. As it is also true that there are other ICOs that are working hard to take their project to safe harbor in a figurative sense.

The success of an ICO lies in executing the project 100% and sustaining it in the market. After, I have experienced some ICOs Scam and Bounty Scam, I have taken the task of studying very well some ICO that interests me.

hahaha nice meme, I agree with you a little bit, but we shouldn't put all the ICOs in the same bag, there are very good projects that are already fulfilling what they promised in the whitepaper/roadmap, of course with bumps in the road but they do their best to solve them, that's why they are gaining momentum and traction.

Most projects are yet to be seen released. Very well designed projects tend to take longer to be released, so we are only seeing bad projects releasing (or just exit scamming) among a small number of good projects that were able to release so quickly.

You are mostly correct OP except with the fact that even a bad drawing of a picture will be better than what most icos actually deliver, many icos never reach the production stage and the few that do, do not deliver a working product at all, but I get the analogy, this is why I think that in the future there is going to be a huge crash in the market of altcoins where most of them will disappear.

Yes, I agree with this in some ICO. They have been establishing a good plans starting with the white paper but in the end of ICO the project will become unclear and the product has not reflect on what we have seen in the whitepaper.

Agree. Some ICOs are too good to be true. Some of the things written on their whitepaper are just exaggerations and then afterwards, people are just left disappointed. Actually, most ICOs right now are like this which is why it is very difficult to choose an ICO to participate in because most are just trash.

Indeed, this is the most commonly happening now to most of the ICO but this is due to crypto market is unhealthy right now in which most of the people are afraid to join the crypto currency investments for now but if the market will become healthy again then maybe the picture will be completely beautiful again too.

I like your picture. I agree.
ICO is like selling the dream for money. The buyers bought the dream and the seller came home with cold hard cash.
In fact, in this wild cryptos world, having a real product after ICO is already good. Many ICO just vanish without any product.

I feel so damn good about that because i never meet any project that was devloping the product being so far from the whitepaper. that depends on how good the project. zilliqa, ontology, santiment have been released their product based on their whitepaper but there is a lot of projects were changed it at the middle of development too.

Ever since ICO projects became successful and popular, a lot of ICos started flooding the market l, maybe one of tow of them did what they really were created to do, but for the most part the rest of them are all shity and don't go far in the market, their prices don't get the the expected points of the developers so they don't put a lot of work into them.

I am not totally agree with you. Its not happen with all projects. From my point of view ICO have some very nice project and it similar till to the end. Some project have some matters but it not a thing to concern.

for few ICO's your pic can be true,,
but not all ICO's like your image, because to develop a project its need a good skill and knowledge,
also need an enough time to realize the whitepaper mate

This was really funny and you have portrayed true condition of ICO projects through the picture very well. I agree with that there is seen a far difference between the white paper and actual product. Equal effort should be given to each of the White Paper, production and actual product release.
It's a pretty humorous angle, but the reality of ICO projects today is that when white paper has a lot of ideas and potential but the reality is quite the opposite. Probably the call for investment by ICO projects is quite easy, so the quality of ICO projects during this time is very low.

I think that you nailed it.  I'm pretty much done "investing" in ICOs.  I've lost money on every single one, and if you take into account how much ETH has gone up since I flushed it on crappy ICOs it is even worse.  I'm out of that game.  Sticking to the basics BTCBTCBTC, no more shittokens.  Smiley

It might be good to have at least a MVP product before asking for any extra capital, I appreciate that this might be difficult given that you need money to do things but far too many ICOs promise so much and deliver so little. Just my opinion..

I disagree. In fact, I have seen more than once when the product is released and it works well. The fact is that there are very few projects on the market that have a finished product and therefore it is difficult to judge. Most ICOs that enter the market promise a final product in a few years, then it will be possible to conduct a discussion if they live to that time Smiley

I finally agree with this image.
My own experience says me that there is a few great ICO's. Most of them usually stop at the pre-sale state.

That's in fact worse, real competition starts after product release, the more work should be done after product release otherwise it will be lost in the market.

I feel that most of ICO are deceiving.  They promised of good service but the result is very far from reality. Sometimes they do not use properly the funds allocated for the project, they hire cheap services so they could save a huge money for their pockets.

Most of the time reality of ICO projects and representation is always different like this. Its exact representation of what we see in daily life about the ICO's. Yes, they never end up having what they have promised in the white paper or even the roadmap. Most of them go fail in the phase of roadmaps too, they never catch up the timeline as explained in the roadmap and never have products or services according to the whitepaper. Rarely it happens that some projects might just come up with bright idea and until the end the picture is perfect one.  Roll Eyes

It would be quite funny if it would not be true so than this picture becoming very sad, the only hope is that when this market will be more healthy and then ICO will be more serious.

That's why it is important to study the type of ICO, their infrastructure, developer team, community etc. which indicates just how strong or promising the ICO really is. If you observe the market and analyze for yourself you will find ICOs that stays true to their words, ICOs like Kakushin and SET are just two examples.

LMAO it's so true though for a majority of project + it's just how building things work, in your mind you see the fully functioning end product but it will take a long time to get to it and things are always changing in this space and there is no regulation so most projects have to play along with what they have.

Well, even though the picture was hilarious, it is sadly true. What they say and what they deliver is of a huge difference. It is high time for the people to take actions and to keep their words and not give us things of poor quality.

Yes, I agree with the thread since there are ICO's that are just good during the start to convince many people to invest during the pre token sale and leaving the bounty hunters in mid air. I happen to join last time for an ICO that is really great during the start and updating in the stakes is always done within the week believing that it could reward the bounty hunters. Some ICO's are really here to scam not just the investors but same way with the bounty hunters.

I agree with you on this case. Actually not all coins but there are many coins that are doing this. Most of them are new projects in the market. Since it is a decentralized market, we cannot stop them but we need to be careful when investing in new coin.

You are right. I think the amount of fake projects in cryptoworld is increasing day by day. It is really hard to distinguish between legit and scam ICOs. Especially beginners suffers the most.

From my recent analysis I have found that very few ICOs provides the accurate services as they state in their whitepapers. Other ICOs just want to lure investors for their start-up. Before participating any ICO it is mandatory to do proper research.

It can not be denied that today many ICOs are failing because they do not match expectations, all are hoping to succeed, but that will never happen if a team does not work hard to pursue the success they want

LOL. I have seen this picture somewhere. There is some truth to this but this does not necessarily reflect the nature of ICO's as a whole. There are still good ones out there.

It's such a funny post. Actually I agree with you. There are rare ICOs who successfully produce whatever they tell on the whitepaper. Mostly the product is  not even anywhere close to what they say on the whitepaper.
