Places like China and Russia and New York State are trying to stop Bitcoin in any way they can because they know what it is capable of doing to their money-monpoly scams. They see it's potential and they're terrified. They should be. Because it's over for them. The game is up, and they lost. Individual sovereignty won.

"Nationalism is our form of incest, is our idolatry, is our insanity. "Patriotism" is its cult. It should hardly be necessary to say, that by "patriotism” I mean that attitude which puts the own nation above humanity, above the principles of truth and justice; not the loving interest in one’s own nation, which is the concern with the nation’s spiritual as much as with its material welfare — never with its power over other nations. Just as love for one individual which excludes the love for others is not love, love for one’s country which is not part of one’s love for humanity is not love, but idolatrous worship."

If anyone was able to kill bitcoin and wanted to they'd just get on with it.

Dont worry about the noisy ones, watch out for the quiet ones.

They are making a big mistake, there is no better way to make something popular than by banning it or telling people they cannot have it.

I remember back in the day when I was a teenager. Pink Floyd's The Wall album was banned and guess what? Every second kid had a copy of it. Bitcoin will go the same way, they cannot stop it.

Exactly, thats what I mean. Reverse psychology. Thank you Mr Putin for making BTC popular among the people of the future (young people that will suffer the consequences of magic FIAT money crash)

Russia can puff out their chest as much as they like, if it makes them feel better then hey they can carry on but I personally do not see what Russia can do right now to kill bitcoin unless they manage to find a way to make laws for bitcoin. Only reason Russia is getting like they are is because they know they have no control over bitcoin and that is something they hate, having no control over something they wish they did have.

Russia can't kill bitcoin that's for sure. No one entity could either, the governments could severely restricted and throttle its use but it would still be used underground.

All these banning treats are amusing. It would only attract more people because banned things are seen as more fascinating. What an idiot logic to try to ban BTC. When the fiat crash happens people will realize why they banned it.
