I don't think it is, the word "social" in this context will exclude the use of social media platforms, Also you also do not need to have a bodily contact to put you at risk, being out in an environment that is contaminated as opposed to being indoors certainly put you at risk

... Doesn't matter the term is, the only thing that matters is that the end result is people knowing that they should just keep their masks on, and maintain a safe distance (of about 6 feet) from one another. That's all that needs to be done here, nothing more and nothing less.

Would bodily distance be a better term because it comes to the root of the issue -- which is people being in large groups and being too close -- yes. But it really doesn't matter if people just follow the term and understand it anyway.

Not really needed to happen.

I think that this term (as well as much more) was introduced specifically to destabilize the psyche of people. I hope that you understand that behind the scenes of this world are elites who dictate their own rules.

I prefer social distancing rather than bodily distancing and its a little bit annoying but its really matter what will be the real one. The important is how we seriously do it in the real time situation. Its very simple but really hard to do it always. Its proven that its really help to spreading this virus. I hope thid crisis will end soon.

It will be over as soon as you stop reacting to it.

If you die, it won't be from Covid. It will be from social distancing.

If you die from a disease, Covid might be present in you, but you will die from something else that you haven't built up your immune system to protect yourself from.

Takes only 2 weeks for a virus to get around the world in the air/winds inside moisture droplets. Covid has been everywhere already since last November. The Covid death-scene/lockdowns are a lying scam.

Anyone standing in a 6 foot or 2 meter 'social distancing ' line should kill time by watch the following clip over and over again, and loud enough for at least a couple of other people to hear it:

  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=YXqCIcCZe7Q

There are a ton of other clips on various related subjects around this 'covid-19' hoax which people can also mix into their playlists.  It's a great way to 'get the word out', and if you find yourself in a society where you are waiting in such a line then for sure the sheeple need to hear the message.

All that social distancing is, if you are walking down the sidewalk, and somebody is walking towards you, move over to the left or the right, so that you pass him, rather than walking into him.

even if we all agree that physical distancing is the right word to strongly express what they mean it doesn't really matter we are all grown-ups(mature? I'm not sure) here and we know what they meant when they say social distancing.

or for some 'nooooo dont lick my face'
or 'physical distancing'

yea you can still be sociable in many ways. so physical distancing is a better word

strongly agree. that social distancing I agree that it might be said to be a less appropriate application. what should be done is physical distancing, which is the most permanent to be applied. because it really is the best step you can do. maybe not very broad impact.

^^^ Because social distancing doesn't heal anybody. I mean, if you get too close to someone who is sick, you could catch what he has, right? On the other hand, if you are healthy, and get too close to a person who is sick, he might get well from your health.

The term is wrong because the concept is wrong.

Why do you have to get your way to change the term?
That is its generic term now so that means it does not matter if we change that because people understnad the context.

Social = people, distance = separation.

It's pretty non ambiguous and literally everyone that is violating social distancing are ones that are doing so purposefully, not out of ignorance of knowing what social distancing actually means.

I think social distancing is a more accurate phrase than bodily distancing - because it only applies in a social context, i.e. with people outside your immediate 'isolation group'.
There is probably an element of manipulation in naming it this way. They want to mentally reinforce in us the idea that this is a social restriction.
I am kind of surprised actually that they haven't branded it 'patriotic distancing' or similar... that sort of naming convention usually works wonders in ensuring compliance...

I don't think that social distance is that the wrong word When it involves viruses both social and physical distances need to be maintained so as to be safe Through socialization we are physically in one place. The physical word is that the correct word to cure the virus now standing at a distance of a minimum of 3 feet it's not later within the social distance but within the physical distance i do not think anyone would want to vary this term Everyone should follow the space in order that the virus doesn't spread later.

I don't think there's much difference in those terms. You're well aware that this is about the distance you have to keep relative to other people. The most interesting thing is that I have seen information that 1.5-2 meters is not a safe distance to distance because the virus can spread further.

We know because we were taught that way. But I think it is wrong. We are socialising right now. And we are very far apart. Impossible that we get virus from each other.  This term should be changed.

Wrong or not, everybody is know what the "distancing" mean. Don't need to make it looks bad, better to think to stop the spreading of this virus.
I hate when hear/read of new cases and new deaths from this virus.

It’s about distancing yourself from real world, but more into welcoming and grown attached to virtual world, I’d call it “forever aloning” by diving yourself into the cyberpunk, the escapism gone full retard.

Besides the wrong word, the concept is drawkcab. People should get together so that health can be imparted from the healthy to the sick.

I don't think it's a wrong word. It's already been interpreted by most as physical allowance for interaction. Regardless of what's more appropriate or sounds better, there has to be the same meaning.

The problem is, many don't follow the social/physical distancing.

Don't you guys think that the word 'Social Distancing' is not expressing the exact meaning we are trying to derive from it. 'Bodily distance' may be the right term for it. Please let me know what you guys think on it
