Wow, how you people digged this 7 years old thread just to respond the op.
That's exactly what I am wondering.

Being a Hero member it seems weird you digging up such an old post and reply on that.
Even if someone else bumped the thread and his post got removed, you should have read the date on OP before replying.

There are people who are not into social media and did not want to do all transactions or chatting at all or just want to keep it their way or being normal but it does not mean they don't have money. There's just not really comparable since many are still not into social media or don't have access of it due to their location.

Finding it hard to relate money and social media how can we correlate the two how to say bitcoin is the Facebook of money where we chat what do you mean by that are you talking about bitcointalk as a forum or bitcoin itself. Facebook is highly centralized which does not have any relationship with bitcoin and bitcoin is a currency and has nothing to do with social media.

If you think about it, Money is a very pure-and-abstract form of social media.  Which might position Bitcoin as a 'Facebook for money' ?

We all chat amongst ourselves (that's the classic facebook) , but we also transfer money ...  and use that money as a sign of wealth.

A bit confusing comparison in my opinion. Facebook, money, Bitcoin and all in one cart. I would not say that Facebook is a very good example at all, because nowadays it is mostly the platform for pictures with kittens and posts for leisure activities.

Social media is indeed a huge form of money too and a sign of wealth; it all boils down to how you use Facebook and other social media accounts; as an influencer? bounty hunter? or a Social manager / admin. But this is bitcointalk; where you discuss bitcoin and crypto currency, so you should let your topic get in line with crypto currency.

My question is how well do you use your social media to get your money in the crypto currency space? Think it through.

Not everyone sees Social media the same. Because each human being is different, we join a certain group because we feel identified. Social media is not just to offer a product, to make a brand known as the "Facebook for money" as you say. If we chat in this forum it is because we believe that this community is supporting the creation of Bitcoin and as long as we keep our thoughts alive here we make Bitcoin strong.
That is my humble opinion, we are here in a generalized way: we learn, we help, we earn micropayments and best of all we grow our community.

Indeed, we cannot avoid social media such as Facebook, but if we look at its use, it must be seen as a whole. but can social media be profitable? Of course there are those who think it is right and it can be done, but there are also those who will not be able to make it accept the results.
Especially now that there are many social media and Facebook is not the main benchmark anymore, because many problems have been infiltrated.

It appreciates you that it is true that if we join this forum we will be able to get valuable lessons and of course produce something that can make us meet the necessities of life, so it's true that don't leave this forum.

This is honestly confusing me: How does money and social media share a similarity, even from an abstract view? The closest I can get to it is that money is a mean of exchange and social media is a medium where you basically exchange thoughts. But the thing is, on social media you usually share your own thoughts to yourself without necessarily expecting a response to it .. meanwhile, with money, you don't pay yourself for your own goods.. Am I missing something?

If you're trying to find a way to find another definition for "peer-to-peer", I don't think Facebook is a great thing to assimilate BTC with. You may be able to exchange thoughts between users as well, but Facebook sits in the middle of your interaction. Bitcoin doesn't require a middleman or a centralized platform to run properly. Hence, Bitcoin is more like "a face-to-face interaction" than Facebook.

I'm not enamored. Facebook is centralized and, as a rule, a gigantic waste of time.
