Random strangers will never contact you through message to help you with your crypto investments, this should be obvious to everyone of you, just reply them 'scammer' and hit the block button or adjust your social media app to block unknown strangers, there are many of these people on telegram, Twitter, Reddit etc

My first rule for social media is, Never trust anyone. Especially those who promise a huge ROI without any effort on my part. I can never overuse my block button. Grin

Scamming methods never really change over decades. Spam emails with "unique dick enlargement investment opportunities, account "confirmation" emails, SMS with links in them, now it's all types of social media. While our ISPs are now very efficient at filtering out email spam social media and messengers don't have this option (well, unless you block messages from unknown contacts). Daily I receive 20-30 of these in Telegram, Discord and few other platforms I use. Why bother replying to these, just block and remove with couple of clicks and move on.

This is quite sound interesting advice ,and yes it is really true. All of your mention regard spam and scam I will put it always in my mind on how to be wise and preventive person to avoid the list of the victims but I only wonder out of all you mentions  dick enlargement is the most thing quitely fun for me but it's really true cause some people wanted also that dream.

I wonder how some people just believe that they are so fortunate to be favoured by a random stranger on social media by offering them a golden opportunity you know, like an unbelievable offer and they are the once fit for it. Like seriously,  wtf! Has life really become that easy? Becuase,  right where I am, its your sweat for everything you know. You still get to enter the mine with your implements and hit the rocks to get them precious stones.
You ought to be willing to put in work for the right reward. Don't be too greedy and rushing over any golden opportunity or too good to believe offers on social medias. That can doom you, be ready to go the extra mile of researching before picking any package on the web. Scammers are no joke this days, they are everywhere and ready to scam you of the least penny.

It's simply greed that makes people fall to scam.

While greed is the major contributor to this successful scams, other factors have their role to play and this scammers are quite dedicated enough to keep trying untill they find someone that's lacking the knowledge general available on the internet like those just mentioned above.

The scammers have different techniques they use which is kind of hard to keep up with their tricks, to you as an informed individuals, the tricks aren't that hard to breakdown but as a newbie it'll be very difficult especially when they're not informed. The impersonation is very clean that if you don't look into this account more, you might just think you're speaking with the real users and end up trusting them.

The only way we can avoid falling for their tricks is to constantly look for new tricks this scammers are using and stay informed, also you have to put your greed to check and treat every contact you get on this social media platforms as scammers until proven otherwise.

Great advice for sure! I have seen several traders losing their money and most importantly, their confidence because of such scammers. They need to be stopped.
They are hard to stop and that's why we should be aware of their existence and be vigilant. Only you alone can protect yourself from those scammers.

Being educated and raising awareness of their tactics and scam schemes, you'll be able to avoid it and if there are some potential victims asking for our help and they're asking if what they've found is a scam or not, we can help them by telling the qualities of a scam.

I think some person's have turn internet to scamming generating revenue, the gravity of scammers in social media is very high especially telegram and Reddit, they are using Reddit to scam people everyday, while telegram is for advert of investment and other business, this period we have to be secured because adventuring into investment platforms now is very risk due to fake advert in telegram social media and Reddit social media, people should be careful before investing, even now, scammers pm some people to invest with them, the only way we can overcome them is to block them or remain silent.

It's just normal on the social media platform there's a different scammer, of course, their victims are the beginners or newbies and want to attempt to scam them to survive this kind of scams it's better to avoid entertaining people who you don't know instead there's no money involved on their help.

Next is to keep yourself aware of the different scams like phishing, smishing, keylog, and many more. Knowledge can prevent you from losing your money.
We should be aware of scammers, because they are liers, once any trait of them is discovered, please don't waste time to block them. You can know them through so many ways, they may ask you to invest in their product, please snub or block then.

On Telegram, I usually filtered “strangers” to archived chats and I only unarchive them if they are for real. If they only say “hi”, “hello” or something like that without even revealing their Telegram handle in public, that is considered suspicious to me. Same thing with Facebook, Twitter, etc. We need to have a little bit of common sense before engaging with these strangers.

these things are extremely rampant on Facebook. to my luck, I've got a number of messages on my messenger where the scammer talking me into investing in crypto or some pyramid scheme they are running. I never really pay attention to them since whenever I receive a message like that I immediately block the person and then delete the message. these people are relentless it doesn't matter how dumb they sound as long as they can find a gullible person for them to prey on.
It is also common in telegram where some unscrupulous individuals forms another group on telegram in the name of an reputable exchange e.g Binance tricking newbies by fraudulently acting as a buyer, seller and escrow on that group in a bid to ensure trust in all their transactions whereas it is fraud once they scam a newbie they immediately remove and block such an individual , a lot of newbies falls and got scam via that media, my advice to newbies is to take caution and avoid any form of cryptocurrencies transactions on telegram

The irony of this type of Topics and contributions is that although they seem repetitive and to some extent recurring in the same responses, there is always a user clicking on a link, responding to a private message or agreeing to easily give information to these villains.

So always mentioning something helps, even if it seems like there is nothing else to say. So adding audios in messaging services and even video calls are very fashionable to try to get information.

The ability of these people in their verbal and social framework is very high and perhaps the main mistake is to believe that you know them all and can handle them.

On the other hand, take care of your contact book, sometimes it is not you who lets go of personal information but your contacts, we always think of common social networks such as FB, Twitter, Instagram, Telegram, all of them are very dangerously linked to your list of Contact if you do not know how to do things well, but perhaps the most invasive of your privacy whatsapp, especially those who are getting into all kinds of groups, unlike Telegram and other social networks whatsapp makes your cell phone number public.

Redt, istagr, Tw, tlgr, the fields of fraudsters to carry out their actions, social media targets that are often successfully used by fraudsters, especially telegram, if only a few percentages of people think the same as you to ignore every incoming message by offering various benefits through investing in crypto, maybe the fraudster is a little tired to launch the action.

Sometimes they speak very sweetly in carrying out their actions, in fact some of them sacrifice a little of their wealth, To get bigger results, be aware of such modes to people you just meet on social media, before yours is drained.

I still can't believe how many people still falls for it. Someone I know from Discord got scammed out of $500.
It's simply greed that makes people fall to scam. If you asked that friend of yours you will discover that s/he were made an offer s/he felt irresistible. It beggars disbelief really when someone falls for a total stranger offering to help them out on their finances, honestly. But it does happen, even till date. Social media are scammers' paradise

One of the reason why newbies get easily scam is because they show to someone that they are holding some crypto and that's why scammer can easily message them and offer a bait. Never ever entertain someone you don't know personally or never share something that would cause to compromise your anonymity.

Only talk to someone that you do know has a good reputation when handling crypto currency and lots of people trusted that guy. And always do your own research first if you are in doubt or not research will always tells you the truth ahead.

You can add Facebook but telegram is very notorious for this because the telegram features help scammers to imitate people, by changing the name, you only need a phone number to create one, I have read a lot of scam activities on Telegram these scammers are good in communication, they target your greediness or eagerness to make a profit, the best way to do counter is to never give them a chance by immediately blocking them.

I advise anyone who invests in cryptocurrencies or wants to learn something about crypto to not looking for any knowledge on social media and not investing money listening to the advice of strangers. There are much more useful ways to spend your free time than to spend it on Twitter, FB or Telegram looking for some opportunities that could make you rich - there is a better chance of winning the lottery than being contacted by an honest man who really wants to help you.

Crypto and social media are an ideal combination for scam, if you don't know how to recognize a threat, it's best not to even use them.

Many user gets mails, messages from scammers but some get in trap by clicking on the links given on twiiter or any other platforms to fool you and get your funds or access to your wallet then it's gone. There are many ways like last time they use SNL livestream of Elon Musk to scam people of huge funds. You just need to recognise them as early as possible to keep you safe from them otherwise they are just in wait for one of your wrong move and funds are not yours anymore.

Don’t know how these scammers can easily deceive people.
They can easily deceive people that has zero knowledge about bitcoin.

Need to be more careful with scammers who are approaching via social media using the name of trading.
But they are easy to find out. When you see them "expert traders" on their profiles, that's already a sign of the scammer.

That is what you need to do when you got a message from people you do not know.
They can easily offer you interesting offers and once you tempt with their offers, they will start to explain how they work.
But if you are sure they are scammers, you will not care about them instead, block their account and report it so you will not get scam by them.

It's just time for everyone to understand for a long time that any advertisement from a stranger promising a big or not very profit is fraudulent. Turn on your logic and ask yourself, who has extra money? Who will distribute what does not interfere with himself? Conversely, with promises of large profits, scammers are looking for people who do not know how to reason logically and are ready to do anything to get them paid.
If already in real life we have to be very careful with strangers, then the Internet is a place where more and more scammers appear every year

so in particular, on Telegram always pays attention to the username; if the person chatting with you suddenly is someone you know, it could be a clone or fake account.

Already the teams has made it clear that they'll never contact you first so if you're on telegram, consider anyone that contacts you first as a scammer and immediately they start trying to help you can know if they're legit by searching for their username in the group chat.

If the users is truly working for the project then the account must have some kind of identification in the main group chat. When such identication like (community manager or moderator) isn't attached to the users username then you should know immediately that you're dealing with a scammer and the profile should be reported immediately and inform others in the group of the users intentions.

I wont even bother to reply, to their emails or chat message if there os one, the first thing I do, is delete it, for example in an email, because you never know, what is in there or if tou open it, there might be a script that will be trigger and before tou know it, you already fall in a trap, so my advice is ignore emails and chat messages, delete immediately, and never give information, to random strangers, even if they say you register or apply to any.

Indeed, it should be a hint already if ever you experience such kind of things. No one would ever help you out and give you large amount of money or profit not unless you work hard for it. There are a lot of social media platforms and at the same time, there are a lot of scammers on each too. Be careful on whom you are giving your trust to, it could be much better if you would not even give your trust to anyone other than yourself. Be wise and smart when picking which investment to join so that you will gain money instead of losing because of frauds.

Many of these scammers are on telegram pretending to be a support of the team or exchanges.

Right, I've met an account pretending to be someone else. He chats with me and offers me transactions because I want to buy some bsc before. Luckily, I saw a post from him before that. He said someone had created a telegram clone of him, so in particular, on Telegram always pays attention to the username; if the person chatting with you suddenly is someone you know, it could be a clone or fake account.

This is why you shouldn't trust anyone sending me a message because if you reply to them, it's just gonna go somewhere else and might just persuade you to do something else. Just be more careful and not easy to be influenced by big profits offers. Most newbies lost their money because of too hurry sending their money to a stranger. They even didn't check first whether it is realistic or not. Newbies must learn from many cases of losing money because of a careless way or lazy to cross-check the offers firstly. Blocking strangers won't be effective if the newbies' mindset not changed.

But unfortunately, not many people get trapped and end up losing their money. Why is that? Because they want instant results, they are attracted by the profits that will result from what they offer.

Let alone the way through social media, even scammers on YouTube, websites, phishing links, and others, it becomes a medium that is very easy to deceive its victims. This is also the same, not a few are trapped. And in the end, you will regret or even regret crypto for the loss it has experienced. It seems like it has become a habit and also agreed for getting profits.

Of course random strangers are the once that actually approaches you with this intent of helping to see you through your crypto investment with a bid to help you earn the most of it. Certainly, they are scammers! Geneue opportunities doesn't come on a gold plata, you've got to seek it out. Anyone who seeks you out sees in you the opportunity to enrich himself or herself and that is what scamming could be. Should the ways to making it big be as they 9ften propose,  why then do they stress themselves over someone they know nothing of. You ain't even a family member nor a relative or a towns person but then, your being picked an interest in for a thing you never applied for.
Don't be tempted,  let them be the billionaire they could and want to be but, ensure you make them understand that they should live you out of it. There is nothibg wrong with small beginnings so long as there is progress.  Stay consistent and you'll be fine.

It's obvious that we have numerous scam influencers on social media but the problem is the strategies to overcome their ambitions, so the following can be possible measures to avoid them and also decode their primary objective to penetrate you.
1) Ignore every unnecessary message relating to investment through unknown person.
2) Research and investigate first before adventuring into investment platforms.
3) Avoid any investment forum advert through telegram and Twitter.
4) ensure that 75% of assurance is there before investing

Scammers have divers means to penetrate to people, and it's very hard to notice a platform that is scam platform, so our trusting limit have to reduce to an extent.

In crypto
  • Admins will never PM/ DM you first
  • Admins will never ask for private keys, deposits, etc. from you
  • Scammers will PM/ DM you first and ask for secret information from you
  • Scammers will try to impersonate admins to scam you but remember rules #1 and #2, you will know who are scammers very easily.
  • Fake accounts on Twitter, Facebook, etc. will have registration date very new, and have very limited followers

Today it is difficult to trust not only random people on the Internet but also there are fake accounts that are completely identical to your friends. If this happens, check several times the account that seems familiar to you, as people insert full information and pretend to be your friends. The very fact that someone promises some kind of profit should immediately signal caution in communicating with such a person.

It's very unfortunate that lots of people are fall in fake social media trap. More awareness needed.
If you think that something might be fishy you can ask in this forum and can discuss about that. Everyone should follow right people and right media.

The best way to prevent people from all these scammers are social enlightenment, forum discussions and sharing experience with potential victims of scam. Because one thing I know is that as people are getting aware of a particular type of scamming methods, so are scammers strategizing new methods to lure people of their hard earn money, and these things are mostly carried out on Facebook and telegram channels. So the best way to prevent scams is for people not to easily believe things too fast online, even when they appear to be too real to be true.

Random strangers will never contact you through message to help you with your crypto investments, this should be obvious to everyone of you, just reply them 'scammer' and hit the block button or adjust your social media app to block unknown strangers, there are many of these people on telegram, Twitter, Reddit etc

As simple and as logical as it sounds, it's a pity many fall for it. Maybe it's due to the format of the messages. Sometimes they seem real. This is because scamming to them is a profession, so that learn and upgrade daily on their formats.
To me, the best option is not responding to them, if it is an opportunity, let it slide.

Google is the best teacher if you have no one to put you through something on the internet, it can feed you some lies as well but more research will give you much more answers, if all newbies can take their time to use Google for ways to fall for scam in crypto space and online many will be saved but today many are just too lazy

these things are extremely rampant on Facebook. to my luck, I've got a number of messages on my messenger where the scammer talking me into investing in crypto or some pyramid scheme they are running. I never really pay attention to them since whenever I receive a message like that I immediately block the person and then delete the message. these people are relentless it doesn't matter how dumb they sound as long as they can find a gullible person for them to prey on.

This should be obvious to everyone but unfortunately it is not.
Unfortunately, the world is not full of altruists who selflessly want to help others, but quite the opposite.
Ask yourself, if someone is successful in investing, why would they even bother to find other people, if they are doing so well?  Grin
Unfortunately, there will always be people who are desperate enough and who will believe the stories of how one can easily make a profit in crypto with someone’s selfless help.
10 years ago they were very popular ad click, MLM and revshare programs and now crypto has become interesting and popular for scams.

I still can't believe how many people still falls for it. Someone I know from Discord got scammed out of $500.
Too bad that there really are people that are becoming a victim of this typical scam.

Even if you have time, do not waste on it. I agree to op, block and ignore them.

Most newbies tend to seek advice on telegram groups and Reddit pages, which sometimes leads to the scammers posting a "public" link and the rest is history...
- In other words, the part I quoted might not completely protect newbies [unfortunately].

That sucks, and it's surprising that after so many years, people are still using social media the wrong way. If you're looking for opportunities to earn money, you should go to Fiverr, Upwork and the rest. The most popular bunch; Twitter, telegram, discord, YouTube etc are packed with scammers ready to capitalize on greed. If it's too good to be true, it probably isn't.

People learn about these scams either through reading articles or other people's experiences, or learning the hard albeit "classic" way— getting scammed themselves.
