Why you need blockchain for social network?
Look here
https://prism-break.org/en/all/#social-networks
there are already decentralized social networks available.
Still they do not seem to be used a lot.

They do not require blockchain neither facebook requires it!

Majority of people does not seem to care about privacy neither own personal data protection
otherwise they would not be using facebook and similar networks in 1st place.

If you manage to develop a social network how will you motivate people to use it?!

Cryptoknowmics - World's First Decentralized Media
I find the idea of a blockchain based social media very interesting, so I have searched for projects in this sphere and have found UHIVE. Take a look at their app, it can help you to plan further. Moreover, I think people are not interested in Facebook on blockchain, they need something new.

Well you must be well aware that you are not a lone in this field. There's is Uhive and Contentos which provides a tokenised content sharing ecosystem. So you have stiff competition awaiting. You can improve on these platforms to stand a better chance

Some Crypto projects have come up with this very ideology in the past and still counting, but none have actually been used in our everyday life. It's not only about creating a social media app but creating one that will compete with already existing applications. What makes your app unique? This big question should help you create something outstanding.

I have seen so.many projects that have recently been promising to give us a social media app based on blockchain technology but so far, I haven't seen any serious Decentralised competition to Facebook and WhatsApp, only steemit has made a splash but even with that, it's mostly used by cryptocurrency enthusiasts.

So many projects these days create a solution first and then go out to seek a problem. Not just in this blockchain space. And that is a problem. In the end when the startup fails, they come running saying that my startup failed. Funny.

How they can have solution if there is no problem Cheesy Cheesy ?

Startups fail for many reasons, most often because their idea/solution is not needed in real world.
P.S. You wondered off from topic .

I think it is a great app. I hooe it can improve and develop very soon because I know that all of us will be benifited. And I am sure that all of us will have a chance to make our crypto business transaction good because we can our thougths and we can share idea to avoid even the small issue or errors here in crypto industry. I hope it can also blocked and banned to the people who are doing or saying aonething good on that site.

I am currently working on a Social Media App (Stag3) which is in the planning stage.

Would a Social Media app that reduces the amount of Information you give away interest you?.

An app where you can share photos and have fun enjoy your time?

Based on all the privacy issues from Facebook and all the personal data that is collected I am trying to find out what the bitcointalk community thinks about

a Social Media app that reduces the data taken from the user to the least amount possible.

Let me know your thoughts

Cheers
it is definitely important because everyone wants the daily update from cryptocurrency so if it is possible then I will definitely support that and lots of people are waiting to make something like this that's why I appreciate with this idea.

Does this project work like Facebook and other social media? I haven't got the answer to how your project works.
Does your project work like the Sphere Social that was developed last year?

Sure most of the people will love to use the decentralized social media app but the popularity might be a great issue when it comes to decentralized apps because there is no promotion for it which makes it less aware of the App to the people

now when you say "based on blockchain" what exactly does that mean? because it is very unclear right now.

will it be "decentralized"? then how would that work exactly? would creating an account be exactly like creating a new wallet and can i for instance create hundreds of addresses (accounts) if i wanted to (and if not how is that decentralized)? who is going to be running full nodes on this decentralized network storing such a blockchain that can grow to gigantic sizes in a very short time?

if it is not decentralized and if the blockchain is going to be stored on a server like what Facebook already does then why are you using blockchain in first place?

You also have good points. Why the dev need block chain for privacy oriented social media?
Just make it the usual way and  make it privacy based, just change the policy not the tech .

I doubt that block chain could be useful in this kind of situation where data is so massive.

i am always interested in seeing an actual decentralized social media based on blockchain technology and so far i have seen at least a dozen of them just as vague as OP who just use certain keywords in their advertisement of the project and so far checking each of them none had anything remotely interesting. that is why i am asking these questions which i believe are key.
most of these startups are created as a money grab project that is why they fail!

You are not the only one, there have been already several projects trying to make it happen.
One of the most known is UHIVE.

Even if you manage to get the app out with decent UI , I dont believe that you will be able to get people to use it.
