I´m also having this problem, network settings ok, i upgraded firmware, any other recommendation? could you figure it out?

In my experience, this error happens when your miner's network settings aren't configured properly. Make sure that you have everything on the same subnet as your router. For example, if your router's IP address is 192.168.1.1, then you would need to make sure your miner has an IP address in the 192.168.1.### range (2-254). Also make sure the rest of the settings like default gateway and broadcast IP are also using 192.168.1.###.

Got this message on my new avalon ASIC

[Firmware Version] => 20131229

Socket connect failed: Connection refused

I have no idea what to do.  The unit was working fine until about an hour ago Sad
