i would like to hear your thoughts
There was a consensus in your year-old thread that it's more profitable than using it for mining.
Link to old thread: MINING WITH SOLAR POWER | WHAT WOULD YOU DO IN MY CASE?
With batteries, he would need enough capacity to run his miners for 16 hours per night.
Lets consider his original plan of building a theoretical small 500W rig; to run that for 16 hours, he would need 8000Wh which would require 7pcs 100Ah 12v Batteries. (4pcs 100Ah 24v...)
And since batteries must not be drained below their safe capacity (depending on the formulation), he'll be needing more than that to be efficient.
Cheap LeadAcid/Gel batteries will degrade faster than his miner so his options are those expensive LiFePO4 batteries.
And if OP's using a "grid-tied system" which uses the grid as battery, it would require to swap some hardware to convert from grid-tied to off-grid.
Or isolate some solar panels to use off-grid but that would still require another set of hardware for off-grid system, plus the batteries.
