They are not good for gaming so they are useless outside of mining.

That's what I thought about some 5770's I bought for mining, I put one in my 3 year old's computer to hash in the background (at a low aggression) while he plays games (Just Cause 2, Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood, Bulletstorm, etc)  and that little card surprised me even at stock clocks.

Which means a 5830 would be even better.

It's no GTX580 but it's no slouch at gaming, either.

If you go

http://www.alloscomp.com/bitcoin/calculator.php

input the next difficulty level - 1167734.0, and 300 Mhash/s (max rate for 5830) and $18 per bitcoin which IS $4 more than they are currently trading for.  You get

                 Coins   Dollars
per Day   ฿0.26   $4.65
per Week   ฿1.88   $33.92
per Month   ฿7.86   $141.40

So, it will take 1 month of mining with no difficulty increases just to break even...lol.

I will wait patiently as I will snag 2 of these cards for nothing.  They are not good for gaming so they are useless outside of mining.

Hi

People like this epicly fail, always forgetting to factor in the price of bitcoins going up.  Roll Eyes

Hi, they're selling in his range-ish (Though it may or may not be on the high side). You need to check eBay/market/actual x-actions and consider that no one's giving them away for free. Just because difficulty may or may not change, they are good cards for the price/performance.

Also consider relative return...if they don't return, what will? Hope you have an ASIC mining cluster, and are just helping from the future...

Hi

Goodluck getting that $140 per card.

Blocks   132223
Total BTC   6.611
Difficulty   877227
Estimated   1167734 in 833 blks
Network total   10.737 Thash/s
Blocks/hour   10.26 / 351 s

I will wait a few days.  A 5830 at the next difficulty will not be worth $89...lol.

Hi

If MGTOX opens and dives...mining will not be so profitable.  The next difficulty increase is a few days and will be over 1.1 million...

I will offer you $89 per card.

I for one, am getting sick of people, posting on threads in the market, to which they have no interest of buying the product, just to flame the op, and trash the thread.

Let the people sell them for whatever they want, in their own threads.

If you've got something to wine about, make your own thread.

Why? I think you're missing the whole point of a thread.

I don't mind people posting on a thread with their opinions. If the OP is legit he should have answers, replies and explanations to any of the naysayers.  If not, then the thread is rendered useless and should be ignored.

Regardless, we are bumping his thread. Goodluck selling OP.

I had explanations to everything, he was indeed trashing it with ignorance.

ok great, now people are aware there are "out of stock" 5830 on newegg that go for slightly less in price, but they will have to wait for god knows how long, and god knows how fast to get any.

Now let the dude sell his 5830 in peace.

You're preying off ignorance, which is part of Capitalism, yes.

I'm here to dispel ignorance.

Have a nice day.

You seem to have something against capitalism. If people want to pay 160, they will pay 160, they just dont have to pay it.

The $119 model was at $109 before as well, I know because I purchased two.  Newegg regularly restocks the cards so if you want one I'd just keep an eye on the two pages-they sell out pretty quickly once they're in but they keep getting in a trickle of cards.

Now I know you're a scammer -- call my post spam. That's a load of BS and everyone here knows it.

Not bullshit and that has nothing to do with scamming. Make sure you get your facts straight, I'm selling the $119 model not the $109.

$109, $119 -- not much difference. It doesn't change my post.

I'll post a revised version of it here -- tell me how this is "spam" (what, are you a non-native English speaker? Do you not know what "spam" is?)

To anyone who's considering buying these @160 -- don't!

They're not worth it *at that price*. They're a great card because they're only $119.99 -- as you raise the price, the card quickly loses its value/luster.

They don't make you emit Bitcoins from your body or something... they're not that special. Just a good price/performance when they cost $120.

There is a 119 model and 109 model on newegg. Go look for yourselves.

Actually these are $119 if you view from newegg, and again I said you can make an offer.

Thanks for the spam.

Informing people is not spam. Perfect information is good for the market!

Your information is incorrect, you didn't even bother to check out the newegg link, if you did you would know I have the models that cost $119 not $109.

So you want $170 for shipping?

$100 is the fee to build the rig, $75 is the shipping fee.
Right! I'm talking about the four $119 5830s for $650! I understand supply and demand, but damn!

Thats $160ish per card.. they go for $200 on eBay.. I thought it was a decent deal. But I'm open to any reasonable offers.
