if i recall, 1Ag6 or 1Ag7 were the last sets made before the government crackdown

looks like Blazed has offers of 3.5BTC on his graded MS70. I dislike the idea of shipping the coin both ways to a US-based grading company, so the buyer of this could be able to improve its premium via grading.

i mean - just look at the glorious photos. Smiley

There's an additional significance. 1Ag4 / 1Ag5 are also part of the first series funded (i.e., created) by Mike. Many find greater value in these first issues of the series than in others.

If you dig deep in the Uberbills site you'll see what I'm talking about.

Others, correct me if I'm misrepresenting anything here.

whats the significance in the 1Ag ?  I have a 1Ag4 and a 1Ag5

Ag is the symbol for silver (argentum).  Cool

Those are the batches he made..

1Ag1 = first batch/first run
1Ag2 = 2nd
and so on etc..

Very nice coin klondike and can someone remind me why the edges of the hologram are rippled for this series?

they are laser-etched, so peeling the hologram would be way more obvious and not a simple job using solvent.

Thanks, I would love to see if that theory was tested somewhere.  I don't think any manufacturers besides Casascius did that to the edges of the holograms.

This is a really clean version! The first bits are printed perfectly on the hologram too. Prime, prime example of these coins. Well done! Can't believe you're selling it!

Where do we find those professional coins display slabs?

Nice coin you have there.  I like those displays, never seen them before, going to check them out.  Good luck with your sale, should sell easy enough.

im a fan of this slab - it suits the coin better than an airtite capsule and shows off the rim nicely

SOLD

Im putting one of my favorite coins up for sale or bid. Its the last set of gilded coins that were funded and sold by casascius. I wish the camera did it better justice, but you can see that its in mint condition within the slab*, mirror finish with no scratches or problems in the gold layer like seen on some other coins.

*coin was received directly from casascius, and I moved it immediately into the protective case while i wore lab-grade nitrile gloves. There isnt even a trace of finger grease because of how i handled the coin. The slab is not graded, so 'mint condition' is entirely subjective.

Blazed just sold a similar coin from the 1Ag4 series that was graded MS69 for 2.55BTC.  So I'm going to set my asking price at 2.6 BTC and will accept reasonable offers. offers of less than 2.2BTC will simply be ignored

coin is shipping from Toronto, Canada - insured tracked parcel to USA is not a problem. Escrow via any of the major providers is fine by me.
