But they are loaded on the cas coins no matter if you like them or not.
They are worth nothing and will not be inflating the price no more. Premium will continue to downtrend as I have predicted it 3 years ago. Thanks.
Whether people value the forks or not, original Cas coins will continue to appreciate in value. As more are redeemed, the unredeemed ones continue to increase in value over time. Maybe not with the average Joe, but collectors are willing to pay a premium.. I know myself and friends have. Maybe we are just dumb for doing that though  Grin based on the offers received already to buy and trade this coin is worth more than the loaded value, as are all Cas coins. If you can get a Cas coin for the loaded value, you are crazy not to snatch it up. That is my opinion, of course.

One coin to rule them all
Do you value individual turds at 0.05 BTC? If you do, then forks are indeed worth that much. If you don't, then they are worth zero.

I admit that I consider 0.05 BTC to be an significant amount.

Nobody is going to buy the coin to peel it right away, fork value added or not the user would peel at a loss.

If we fully play out this scene fully - You put up a Cas for sale and the premium is less than the value of the shit coin (either due to low premium or high value of shitcoins), then is not unrealistic that a buyer would purchase the coin solely to peel it right away.

All these forks ever were used (in this part of the ecosystem) was to inflate second-hand sell prices of Casascius in a desperate attempt to delay the premium from converging towards ~0. When all forks were somewhat valued (i.e. premium reaching >10-15%) it made some sense due to low premiums at the time. Now it's just a joke.

When BTC rate goes up, some casascius owners will be tempted to peel the coins and redeem the BTC and the shit coins that comes alone.
It happened before and it will certainly happen again - especially around big bull runs.

Lets say you own a 25 BTC cas coin. BCH alone is worth 1.25 BTC.

It would make absolutely NO sense (from a financial point of view) to sell the coin for less than 26.25.
When you take the security challenges with delivery into consideration then would most buyers want an even higher price to make the sale and risk worthwhile regardless of peoples opinion of the shit coins.

Don't get me wrong Lauda, I am no fan of the forks and all the shitcoins. I would love to see them ALL of them go to zero and flatline.
But they are loaded on the cas coins no matter if you like them or not.

Cheers  Smiley

Nope. They are worth zero on small denoms now.
A private key with e.g. 1 BTC pre fork will hold 1 BCH. 1 BCH is ~0.05 BTC

0.05 /= 0 ?

Thank you  Smiley

The value of the forks is negligible at this time. This isn't late 2017.
The major BTC forks took place in Q3-Q4 of 2018 Wink

One can make his own evaluation if this is an negligible amount or not.

You are right about the fork, i bow to your great knowledge.

1 BTC prefork has 0.053 BTC worth of BCH+BTG with current rates.
So for a half it would be 0.0265 BTC.

One can make his own evaluation if this is an negligible amount or not.

Cheers!

If you give out two halves, maybe.
Lauda, what are you smoking brother? In WA the green is legal, so I get it, but 2 halves with forks for one non-fork coin??!!  Huh Shocked Grin

Forks schmorkz.  Pics of coin important though, 2 coins 0.5 for 1 loaded and some BTC back

I did smoke something earlier... am I stoned or stupid, but are we talking brass or silver coins here? Tongue
Ha! It's legal here, and I don't even smoke it. I think I need to start....
It's brass, boooo. Pics coming soon. I am open to trades of multiple lower denom BTC loaded coins, or offers of BTC. Who pays the asking price on a car, right? I have a friend that did recently, but he is a dumbass  Grin
Just being a Cas does hold some weight, I think we all agree.

Why break the roll? Isn't the roll more valuable together than separate? Unless you all ready took coins out of the roll. Than i guess it wouldn't matter.

Spokanistan51 might not want to sell all 50 coins at this point.

Personally I would love to own an intact cas roll, when that is said; i think there is incredible few that would be willing to buy a high premium for an intact roll.

It is worth mentioning, that coins coming out of a fresh roll is in pristine condition.

Good luck with the sales.

But I don't think a roll of cas halfs have gone up for auction here in a loooooong time

As far as I remember last time was when Mike himself was auctioning rolls, 6 years ago.
Good morning gents. I purchased a partial roll that had already been opened a some removed. I would have never broken a full roll myself, but as noted the condition of the remaining was well worth the purchase.

SOLD! Looking to trade or sell my .5 Cas.  As any educated BTC person would know, all forks included in the '13. I am open to trading for a loaded BTC coin that doesn't include forks. The Cas coin I have is not graded, but in nice shape. Pics up. Open to escrow.

Also open to offers of BTC of trade of multiple coins (tenths etc)  in multiple denom's but amounts should be north of .75.
