Sold. Cool
How much was it sold for?
I don't know if I really want to tell.
Let's just say it was above the open bids in this thread. Wink

 Was it over 3.5BTC?

blaze offered me to buy the b sign for that much, but my offer already expired Smiley

Yes

Edit: I'm actively thinking about making an offer for the BTC symbol, what would shipping to Germany be?
Probably $20 your cost as I would split shipping with you.
im going to bump up my offer to 3.5BTC if you will accept it in the next 5 hours
I'd definitely top that, but I really haven't made up my mind about it Wink

Too funny...I remember when Mike originally listed this orange B for sale on EBAY.  I actually bid against you for it Blazed.  Seems like ages ago in Bitcoin time...never ceases to amaze how time and rarity create collector value.  He listed an unloaded 1000 BTC bar for charity around the same time as well.

Yep! That spent bar got way too expensive for my tastes though.

To me, the BTC has little value, but the signature does.
There's some (small) signatures of him out there, on his old paper wallets:

Sorry for derailing the thread, btw Roll Eyes

Oh man that WoodCollector thing was crazy.  I purchased one of his pieces (not a wooden "B", but a unique piece), I wonder if any of his work have any value?  Sorry for hijacking your thread, was just curious.
I would buy a smaller WoodCollector coin if someone sold it for a decent price (everything above 100 is not decent).

Call the dude up on the phone and order one Tongue

Damn it blazed, just sell it to me ~!!  Grin

Well I am not really sure if I would sell it, but let me think about it. I mainly posted it to share it with collectors and try to see what value it has.  I am hoping Casascius replies to this thread, but he is not active here these days so not holding my breath.

Yeah, the signature is the hot item...there's probably VERY few Caldwell signatures out there except for the bank's collection of his signed checks! Good luck with your sale, Blazed.

And it's not like he's making any more signatures  Tongue

To me what adds value is how much it has been pictured on the web + under his signature "Casascius".

Just for the fun of it toss an offer out there  Cool

My willingness to pay has been surpassed by other's as my offer was around 1BTC.

Shall I become rich in a couple days that offer would increase Tongue

I'm actually very interested in this, how much are you looking to get for it?

It is so unique I have no idea what it is even worth honestly. I really doubt that I would ever sell it, but feel free to make an offer! I have sent a message to Mike to see if he would comment on it and provide some additional info to us.

Took - lol the table is over 15' long so shipping might be pricey!

Edit: I was going to get people fired up and picture it next to the famous WoodCollector BTC - fun fact: All of the WoodCollector pieces were based off of that Casascius BTC (dimension wise)

I purchased this orange BTC directly from Casascius for a charity auction (EFF.org). The orange BTC has been pictured in almost every Casascius article and video that I have even seen. I am not sure that I would ever sell it since I really enjoy his coins, but I am curious what value it has if any.

- I have a pgp signed .pdf + emails directly from Mike proving it is real (pictured on my semi famous table - lol)
- Mike signed this + wrote "Casascius" under his signature
- The BTC was created by his wife as a gift to him
- The 2013 Silver coins were first pictured sitting on this BTC

Here are a few places you can see the BTC pictured:

etc...many more if you google Casascius or Mike's name
