I dont think it works that way. if someone stops bidding in an auction the price doesnt drop back down to before that person started bidding.

I missed the keyword of "further" in that sentence, and made the assumption that nelisky had made a false bid, which is why I asked.

I've already requested clarification from mageant as to the position of the auction.

That's what I get for not reading through properly. I read "I got a Mt. Gox Free Yubikey" and skipped the rest... I already got one for free from MtGox so I'll just retract myself from further bidding.

Does that mean it goes back to my 1.1?

OP should declare an end date for bidding(dont know how people can bid without this) and have this moved to auction board.

2 btc shipped to Europe.
He isn't shipping it, he will just be giving you a code that you can redeem at MtGox for the Yubikey. MtGox will then ship you the Yubikey directly.

I got a Mt. Gox Free Yubikey which I am not interested so I would sell it to the highest bidder (payment in BTC or Mt-Gox code).
It says I can transfer it to anybody:
Not interested? Just out of curiosity, may I ask why?

I only use Mt. Gox very little so it is not worthwhile for me to bother with.

I got it too. Not sure if I want one, I'm afraid it'll eventually cause me to have to go through lots of bureaucracy to prove my identity.
I'm guessing it would be the opposite, since it is a little bit of insurance against fraud, by being linked only to you. But I am biased since I am one of the 1500 users that has one, and my account is more secure because of it.

EDIT: Not only that, but since they ship it to you they now have your address on file. No need for a utility bill to prove where you live, unless you had them send it to a re-shipper.

Dear Mageant,

Thank you for using MtGox.

We appreciate your presence and would like today to give you
a free Yubikey. Considering recent problems with hacked accounts,
hacked computers and more, we see the Yubikey as a good step
toward better security.

You can read more on the Yubikey from the Yubico website:
http://www.yubico.com/ - note that the yubikey we offer is only
usable on MtGox.

To receive your free yubikey, you just need to login on mtgox.com,
click "Order a Yubikey" in the menu, choose if you want either a
yubikey with our logo or not, and on the next page enter the
following code:

XXXXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXX

(note: this code will expire end of June 2012.)

Once done, you can fill your address, and confirm your order on
the following page. Please remember that the code can be used only
once (after confirming your address, the code will not be usable
anymore).

You can also give this code to someone else and let them get a
free Yubikey.

Enjoy your trading!
