Sorry to be a lil off topic - but I noticed you had your coins graded by CGS UK. Back a few years ago I also tried to have my coins graded by the same party but they kept rejecting them as there was no real grading platform for them and they had difficulty verifying that the BTC was still loaded

Can I ask how the process went for you and if you don't mind sharing - how much is cost you for the grading?

Thanks Smiley

Well i phoned them up a few months back. They basically said no problems, that they have already graded a few different types of casascius coins. I think it took about 1 month from me sending them to getting them back. 5 coins cost me £108.75 in total which included return insured shipping + i paid about £20 insured postage to get them to cgs uk.

I think the grading costs are based on what you value your coins at to cgs uk (you have to value them at the market rate, if you want insured shipping return to the actual value of the coins) ~ If your not bothered about shipping insurance, then you could get them done for £13.75 each.

You have to be inventive with the shipping companies because most will not insure coins or bullion, so i referred to them as "numismatic collectible tokens" to bypass their silly rules. Do your own due diligence regarding shipping.

The process was a little nail biting, but it all worked out ok  Grin

As best i can tell, that was a pretty rare coin and in perfect condition, it really hurt to watch it go. Sad

Did you sell the Gilt single without the melt ring already?

Yes i sold that one, these 2 that i have left have the normal mottled edge if you look closely at the hologram

Yeah Undecided

I have plenty of those style, but none of the non-melted.
