You should wait until Bitcoin drop again and buy. With Bitcoin, you will earn money certainly.

well as the price of bitcoin now is continuously increasing i think you should buy now and hold to have a good profit. If you will wait for the dip of bitcoin price it is just a little and would not go down lower from the price of today so you will just waste your time. You better buy bitcoin now and hold then sell when the price of bitcoin reach the 100% increase of your investment. Have patience and believe.

Should invest in NEO... yesterday came the news about big changes.. but they were not confirmed. Still most FOMO people bought it and are still buying it.. Can't be REAL!
That is a great suggestion. But I think what you are suggesting is off the topic. He is clearly asking for advice regarding his situation and it is about bitcoin not altcoin.

And why you should even consider investing in BTC currently with all the fake forks on horizon? Thats why I suggested hottest altcoin at the moment.

And I wouldn't even suggest you buying BTC back, buy ETH.. and buy ALT with ETH..you can get way better price.

BTC needs corrections to go to new ATH. So if you want back in BTC wait.. but I would rather go into ALTs for now. Point of trading is always getting more BTC, but BTC is to volatile now, and to get better profit, you should take ALTs.

Yesterday I sold my Bitcoins of 1.21 not at the highest thinking it would go down so I could do a rebuy , seeing a downward trend (-$200), but instead when waking up they were higher for about $200.

I initially bought them for $5500. Now I don't know what to do. If i need to rebuy the same amount it wil cost me about 450 dollars more then when I sold them, thus losing profit.

When SegWitx2 got cancelled and Bitcoin Cash skyrocketed I also forgot to sell and Hodl until I lost  all my profit.
This is the problem of most people that when there is a slight decrease on btc price they got panic and sell their btc at that price but the need is to be patient if you want profits in this way or sell at profit and rebuy at dip waiting period is less for gaining profits. But if you hold for long term you will surely get profits 100-200 times if the trend continues for coming years. At last investment decision have to be taken by you with knowledge and not trusting any advice blindly by strangers.Use your trading experience and be good at it.

I too missed the Bitcoin Cash peak point and now regretting, it's one of a kind opportunity and we missed it. I would buy Bitcoin and hold if I were you.

I sold my BCH super early at around 660$. Had to keep them for nearly 2 months as my average buy price was around 400$.
But still 2 days later and it hit 2400$... It was just last time it dumped so fast and now it looks more stable.

Wish I could buy again some for around 300$ Smiley

Buy some now with half of what you have.  The price would definitely keep increasing. Instead of spending the entire amount you have and sitting on a luck base,  go ahead with half investment. BCH will have its growth not as a rocket but in a slow mode,  so if you are holding BCH you would surely get profit in future. Be calm as you were with BTC.  All the best.

You will always get the chance for a good entry point during a correction. Patience is the key. Until BTC is doing that, you can play with other currencies.

One of the best is rebuy and hodl but that's really a long term. but if you wait for a dip you can get really big profits because many will be interested to buy which can cause a very bullish chart that can make tons of tons of money.

Well if I were you mate, I would just would till their is a price dip. As suggested by others, we are touching ATH and we all know that after such event, a ensuing price correction is next. So have patience and wait till a correction happen, then buy in dips. At least you made your own decision and if gives you experienced now. Sometimes we need to make a mistakes so that next time we will make the right decision. Let this be a hard lesson for you.  Wink

Sold with profits you is already doing a great thing, but my advice is to buy back and hold as long as possible and sell when it's needed, but if you think the current price is still high and have the potential to go down, then you can wait for deeper.

I think you have sold your BTC at a wrong time. Bitcoin is setting new Highs now and there are chances for a small dip but there are more chances for a more higher price. You made your decision to sell and now its you who should decide whether to buy now or wait for a dip.
If there are certain events which make a dip in Bitcoin's price then it will be a good opportunity for you but unless there is no dip the price will be going higher and higher. $450 now could become $600 tomorrow. Make your decision. Consider one thing that even if you buy and there is a dip after that, then the price would recover and hence there are less/no chances for a loss.

Its good decision I believe because you bought at 5.5K and sold very much higher. You  have the good money with you now so what you can do is wait for the bitcoin dip. If you buy at this point and think that it will go even higher then it could be big mistake if the outcome is not the good one. I mean at this point there only two things that can happen, the first bitcoin goes up and the second bitcoin crashes a lot. So this is again gambling situation what to do. I would suggest that you should take 50-50% risk here by investing 50% of the amount at this point and watch the bitcoin grow. If the bitcoin falls then cover the loss with another 50% slot and then hope that bitcoin will go higher than both the entry points that you had. This way you can grab 150% of profits in no time. Just make the calculation right and you will see this will work.

You should hold your bitcoin base on your needs, I can’t say you made a wrong decesion because at least you make profit. You can’t buy bitcoin again at around $5500 because the price of bitcoin will continue to go higher even corrections happen.

It is much better to sell all of your bitcoins now then buy at the next dip.

You can also switch to alt coins while waiting for the next btc sky high.

Always distribute all of your investment just dont put all of your eggs in one basket.

As always the best thing we can do with bitcoin is to hold. If you want to buy some bitcoin just hold and wait for the dip then if you want to sell just hold and wait for the high price. Everything is just about holding in bitcoin you must be ready about the pattern of bitcoin the Ups and downs.
Well make a firm decision and take the risks in investing becaus bitcoin market is very volatile. It can suddenly dump little and continues to rise. You may wait for the dips for a few days or buy because I feel bitcoin will continue to high.

Good decision making is really needed since the volatily of bitcoins s quitely crazy right now and If people could wait for another dip then they must do it since bitcoin for these past days are touching down for 8k$ and then the dump comes, And if we could spot or buy then maybe we can earn with another pump that will came on bitcoins on next following days. And I think the Segwit is officially continues since coinbase had email me about it.

There seems to be no chance for a price dip now. So,better you buy it now and the loss you face of $450 will get compensated once bitcoin price soon reaches ATH.Just bare this loss and buy bitcoin and instead,if you calculate this loss of $200 and stop buying bitcoins, then you would have to regret for your decision as bitcoin price would soon move in the upward trend.

HF cancellation caused traders to move their assets to BCH, just look at them to pump very crazy. They make an opinion that BCH will kiss BTC and become the toughest rival on the exchange. At that time BTC fell, if we examine that's when we buy BTC and now we have enjoyed the results and soon forget the BCH.

Well firstly you bought them at 5500 so I'd imagine you're still in profit, do not let this influence your decision but perhaps let it ease your stress. You must now consider what will happen with the price in the coming days and forget about your previous trades. Really given it seems you would look to rebuy the question is then just of if you should buy now or wait for a lower price. Personally I think anywhere around the low 7000s is about as low as we will go again before another run up to and beyond 8k.

If you think that bitcoin price will go up again then go and buy, if you wait for the dip it is going to  be a long wait and you will watch the price go up and up, but I don't think you need any advice since you already making profit in the first place, you already get experience to handle the situation, but if you want advice, I will say buy it now

Bitcoin is a buy the dip scheme. So simply buy the fud dips of it. And try to multiply your BTC by buying into heavily corrected and valuable altcoins.

From $5500 and you sold  @ $7500, you already had $2000 profit in there. If there's anything I'd do at that point I'd be checking all the news popping up here and there to get a hint of what i should do next. Too many positive new recently that can potentially pump the price so hard that you might regret not huying even at this level. Also it's always wise to sell only if you needed to or you think you've had enough profit.

Oops, selling BTC now is not the best move.
There is news coming about visa atms and korean exchanges which very likely is going to send bitcoin to the moon.

The high bitcoin fees are even making the top alt coins bullish as well.

My guess is we are entering a whole new bull market.

If you are lòoking to buy it might be scary now.

It might be a while before it settles to the old bitcoin goes up alt coin down pattern.

I be stepping back and watching what happens.

Not a trading expert here, nor I intend to be. I usually just hold, but I think bitcoin is redefining the way trades should be done. Normally when some asset starts dropping people just sell it to cut their losses, because it will probably crash and it was the end of it. With bitcoin, it seems that the best option is to buy every dip, because it will recover and go to a new high. You can probably sell some to lock some profit, and hold the rest and wait for another dip to do the same thing all over again. If you sold everything I would suggest you should by and hold some more. If it drops, just buy the dip again, but never sell everything, because it will probably recover, get a new ath, and still give you profit.

I would wait for a minor correction to re enter bitcoin if i am in your situation because i would not want to risk in the short term, but if your plan is to hold for a longer period then you could enter ,but expect a dip somewhere down the line as we saw last week and make sure you enter at those time period so that you will have a much bigger profit.

Your profit may become insignificant in the next two or three years. You must constantly ask yourself what you want to achieve with your bitcoin. If at the moment bitcoin price help you in that direction, then you are successful there no need to worry about bitcoin price.

Well that's good for you because i sold my 0.8 btc last Saturday night where btc is still recovering from the attack and spam of the network that push me to conclusion that this will be the best thing to do that time and that is to sell, well i'm hesitated at first but i jump to the conclusion now I regret what i did but that's fine because i learned my lesson.

Now for me I think there will be no big dips that's gonna happen this coming days or months as the btc will have a stability range of $8000 plus lower to $7000, this is just my opinion and many of the people speculated that it will hit 10k this year so just go with a little dips then hold.

At what price did you sell exactly?

At some point trying to time the market becomes a losing game. Case in point: If you bought at the peak of the $1300 bubble back in 2013, you would have been the biggest idiot in town while everyone laughs at you.

Fastforward to 2017, and now people are dreaming to buy Bitcoin at $4000... do the math. It is obvious you need to find entry points and simply hold long term.

After every dip bitcoin touches new all time high record. So keep holding your breathe  and wait for another dip and then let it recover and touch all time high and sell it again.
This is the best suggestion you can get from anyone here. So OP you should wait for another round of correction which is quite unlikely before $10k.

I am actually holding half of my bitcoin to sell at $10k and already sold half at near $8k and bought few undervalued/corrected alts.

Why not buy back half just now on a small dip and keep the rest for a larger dip? If it goes up you gain on what you bought while if it drops it lets you buy at a good price until next price rise comes along.

I sold 0.5 bitcoins @ roughly $6500 and look at it now, soaring at $8000. You know what, I suggest you keep it paper for now. I'll let you know as soon as I decide to buy back.

All I can say is move on and make again another journey to your trading experience. Face the risks and learn how to be "PATIENT". The current trend is upward and it was continous so why you think of selling it.

Moving forward.. Since NO ONE knows what will happened, you need some guts again to face all the possible risks if you want to enter at the current price rate. This time, even the trend will be downward after you bought your coins, always goal for "long term" and take advantage of the price decrease by trying to accumulate another quantity of btc's for holding purposes.

it would be better for you to rebuy it because we will see the run in couple days later,
or just look at it right now,we're hitting another ATH.
the cancelation of segwit2x will bring us to another level in term of price at the moment.
which mean the price will be pumped because of it.
right now if you're buying it,it will cost you for more than $450 from your sell order before.
but if you do not buy it right now, tomorrow you will see it for more than $1000 from your sell order before.
which one will you choose ?
i believe until the end of this year we will see a bullrun for Bitcoin.
so hold it tightly or lose it badly,
that is the only thing that i know.

You made a decision. Thinking that bitcoin might crash so you sold, but it didn't. yet, maybe. Use your past trading experiences(like this one), and make a well-though decision. Should you rebuy and hodl? Your choice. Why would you base your decisions on what a random internet person said? If you cant make your own investment decisions then you shouldn't be investing in the first place. If you ever want to rebuy, would you wait for a dip? Maybe. We're close to an all-time-high. Chances are, there's going to be a dip. But there's no guarantees.

Best of luck.
