OP - if you'd like that then let me know and I'll put them up. We only use Yiimp now so a couple of limitations on algorithms but most are available Smiley

Like it!
You need to thanks to me OP.  Wink

May you need to try to do it by yourself first, using QT-wallet as suggested above, or if you want to learn more, you can build your own mining pool, If you too lazy to do both, you can asking Lantic_Mining to add new coins that you want to do a solo mining.

Yeah maybe  Wink, or may you can provide OP some space on your pool to add new coins, would be better. Cheers!

I couldn't commit to doing it for longer than a month or so because we are in the middle of making a lot of changes to the business but I'd be happy to add some coins with 0% fee for the OP to try solo.

Is it simple? I think no. I have done with MPOS and NOMP before, am do it, but not so simple.

Okay, not going to argue the point - up to the individual whether they think it's easy or not.

That's better words, and more generally.

Again, not going to argue the point but I was saying 'something like CKPool' - in all honesty I've never used them and assumed they did altcoins also but obviously not. I'm sure there is an altcoin equivalent somewhere out there  Smiley

OP was mentioning that he was dual mining ETH and DCR with Claymore, mean what? Does OP have an SHA-256 based ASIC miners? Of course no. Did you try to suggest OP do Bitcoin solo mining using GPUs rig?

so +1 for setting up your own pool being the simplest/easiest approach.

Build a mining pool is for the next step. If simplest/easiest is a point, it's not for someone who asked for advice a solo mining. Will be more complicated to do it, especially this is just for fun (like op said). Beside it, need a server to do it. So this is wouldn't so simplest and easiest.

Absolutely right that you need a VPS but they only run about $5 per month (I haven't ever used them but seen lots of people recommend Vultr) and installing Yiimp/Nomp/coins isn't exactly difficult - if you've done it once then it's rinse, repeat...

Is it simple? I think no. I have done with MPOS and NOMP before, am do it, but not so simple.

I do get what you are saying though and something like CK Pool's solo option may be more suitable to experiment with. I think I'm just trying to say that running wallets on a mining rig isn't a great idea...

Keeping rigs as simple as possible to make sure all resources are dedicated to mining is the best option. If you run wallets on them then you need to look after updates, security etc. so +1 for setting up your own pool being the simplest/easiest approach.

There are also pools like CKPool that offer a solo mining option for a fee (I think CK is 1%?) if/when you find a block. Alternatively if you just want to try solo then I'd be happy to add a coin to one of our pools with no fee for you to solo for a while.

This's few steps for Solo Mining:
1. Install a  Qt wallet, run Qt wallet as a server.
2. Create a coin config.
3. Pointing your Rig to localhost.
or else create your own mining Pool and add the coin that you want solo mining to that Pool.

Hi,
till now I was dual mining eth and dcr with claymore and was more or less easy. Just edit bat file according to pool's instructions and what was it. Now I would like to try to solo mine new coins for fun and hopefully some profit. Can someone ELI5 me how to do it?
