You need to make a file named bitcoin.conf and put inside it

rpcuser=username
rpcpassword=password
rpcport=port

where username and password are of your choice and port is 8332

Note: put a long password ok?

and then use that username and password in the miner.

i understand it is not worth it not unless im doing major gigahash I would like a answer to my question if possible though. Smiley would like to know what your idea of a huge machine that would be needed to solo 10+ 50+ ghash?

use a pool unless you have a HUGE amount of hashing power...

I just want a little clarificatoin, in the configing of soloing mining user and pass can be what ever I want it to be I just need one for connection when launcing BT as a server?
