I understand that it is quite inconvenient for your friend. If I may clarify to you, the issue with the "irrevocable" here is not about the amount that he spent, it's the fact that he spent it itself, and thus considered agreeing to the term of the promo. Analogically, if someone get into a bakery which hold a buy-1-get-1 promo and get himself a plate of two cake, as long as he did not eat the cake, he can return it, but upon a bite of the cake, no matter how small or how big, he's kinda agree to take the promo and buy that cake. I hope you can understand this.

This is my first time to see a welcome bonus that automatically convert initial deposit to bonus balance. Somehow this is indeed unfair if you didn’t read the bonus ToS for that specific bonus.

It feels like your balance is trapped with x40 wagering requirements the moment you made deposits. The problem on this type of conflict is you already use part of your free spin and balance. Meeting the x40 wagering requirements is indeed your only choice here since the ToS stated that so. This request of yours seems fair for you and the casino to move forward.

My friend told me right now that the money has not been reversed/removed yet from his account.

And his balance is currently: $329.39
So the bonus has to be removed (as per you guys agreement/accordance) from his balance and only his initial deposit should be left (his deposit remains unspent tho)
