I tested:
- Perform reset
- Hard reset
and gave me same errors.

My vendor requested to me to test a third method   (IP reporter reset  , ie https://enforum.bitmain.com/bbs/topics/3957)

The R4 works again.

I hope this will be useful to other users.

With the way these boards are designed there is no way to bypass faulty chip. It is a string design, think of it like a set of cheap christmas lights. One bulb burns and the whole strand dies.

My R4 fails to start this morning.

Soft/Hard reboot , reset to factory changes nothing.

The kernel-log displays this message at the end:

Code:
Below ASIC's core didn't receive all the nonce, they should receive 8 nonce each!

Is a hardware failure?  Possible to shunt the faulty ships? (see nothing about this option in the user interface of the R4)
