SOLUTION
First, wipe all amd drivers/software using the amd software
Restart
Install the latest drivers (13.3 beta) and select custom, deselect SDK runtime but install everything else.
Restart
I used a SDK file pack i found on these forums, http://dl.dropbox.com/u/9768004/AMD-APP-SDK-v2.5.rar. Open up the .rar file and copy the contents into the C: drive, overwrite as you go (might be worth making back ups to save the pain of doing it all again)
Install SDK runtime 2.5, custom , deselect everything and select SDK runtime and continue.
try 5770, wait for 1st share then close miner. (the new card will not show with 2.5, it did not for me)
Install SDK 2.6 runtime , custom , deselect everything and select SDK runtime and continue.
Test the 5770 again and wait for that first share.

Does anyone know what SDK I should be using to get both the 7970 and 5770 mining together? 7970 is accepting shares , 5770 is not. I just tried 2.6 and nothing changed.

hey ... i have the same problems with my 7870,7950 and 5770 in the rig Sad i dont know why but shares from the 5770 won´t be accepted.

cgminer doesnt work properly with the 5770.cgminer doesnt even starts mining and after a short time the is no response.without the 5770 cgminer works well.

can anyone help? using the 13.3 beta driver

thanks !

before I installed my 7970 , I was using a gtx470 and my hd 5770. To get the 5770 to get any accepted shares I installed sdk 2.5, so this this is good news to hear!.
What SDK are you using?

I am mining with a 7870 and a 5770 on the same PC. I have Win 7 prof 64bit, catalyst 13.3beta and using guiminer-scrypt with separate profiles for both cards. Both run fine for days without crashing, the 5770 tends to overheat so i had to reduce intensity on that and point a case fan to it.

I just received my new shiney hd 7970 through the "door" , set it up and it's running fine. I also have a HD 5770 that I was using with my (old) main gpu , for mining. Now, to get the HD 5770 to mine I had to install SDK 2.5 pack (rather just copy/ replace the needed files) to get it to send shares to the pool I am using. I just tried that , the replacing of the files, and the HD 7970 now is not detected which kinda makes sense.

My questions is if there is a work around for me to use both? or if it's impossible now for me to mine on both on the same PC.

thx!
