I think you guys better learn a lesson here.
Fall for it twice ? then you deserve to lose your coins.

BTER fucked me around and i seen signs they were occasionally sketchy.
I left.
I would send coins over occasionally trying to arb them etc and they would vanish.
Evey time i asked them what the problem was and every time they said nothing more than..
Check your account they are there *NOW*.

I am not sure how many people this happened to (BTCe) but if there is a lot it screams Cryptsy.

It's just a matter of time until every one of these shitty little gay bullshit exchanges do this same shit.
So far I've seen them all pulling sketchy stunts.. so i quit trading on them. duh right ?

This is the risk guys.
The writing is on the wall and if you choose to proceed it's on YOU !

I got confused about the 14 days waiting when unlinking btc-e 2FA. I think after submitting requesting unlink 2FA, 14 days later, the account will be automatically unlinked.

Do you have any idea about it?

Thank you.

I really didn't do anything different from you guys, just sent in an initial ticket requesting to unlock the account, and then sending them the information that they asked for (screenshots and passport proof). After I had initially done all of that, BTC-e stopped responding to me for a period of 2 weeks despite my sending them several more follow up messages. Finally, about almost three weeks from when I had initally requested the account unlock, they finally responded and said everything was verified and account was unlocked. Really hoping that they are just severely backlogged and will resolve your cases eventually!
Good for you then. I've read others weren't as fortunate. Three weeks to solve this matter? Huh. I guess you could say at least it was resolved?  Tongue

I honestly do not like customer service like this.

Me? Lost my phone, couldn't access my account cause of the authenticator, contacted support to have the authenticator disabled.
After providing the information they required, got my account back. Didn't even take 24 hours.

Of course I'm not using BTC-e.  Grin My point? Find one with better service.

So they did eventually unlock your account after you performing the requested verification process?

If that is the case, can you list exactly what that process was because some users are saying that even having gone through their verification steps BTC-E would then reset the process and start asking for the same things over again until they eventually just declared the user a scammer and stopped responding.

Perhaps by knowing what the required process was for you to unlock your account we can pressure BTC-E into explaining why they unlock some accounts and not others who claim to have done exactly the same.

In My case they stopped responding despite the fact that I write them almost daily - they check those support tickets and close them in as fast as 4 or 5 hours! which means they're checking the tickets and "intentionally" closing them! While my problem is only 5 seconds to solve, remove the IP I PERSONALLY placed in the whitelist from the whitelist (ofcourse after I've provided them with all the proof and identity verifications) .

I really hope it's just a matter of time .

Same issue with me.  I lost my 2FA and have sent BTC-E everything they requested but I get no response. Ticket,   ZAK-406-99781. It is going on two weeks now with no answer.  Any new ticket I open is instantly closed.

I am hoping someone from their support staff reads all these threads and starts resolving these open issues for everyone.

To be honest, I've never had any issues with them in the past. And of all the exchanges that I first initially used, they seemed to be one of the more trustworthy ones that also traded altcoins.

What I don't understand is why scam their customers out of pennies compared to what they make on transaction fees alone and risk the public controversy that comes with it a la United airlines. Sadly, there is only one logical question to that answer and it is what you guys are saying and that is that they are scammers. Well, it seems as if the only way to get a response from them is to raise a lot of public pressure and awareness on them, so that is what I will do.

The service discussion board is filled with threads about problems from this service. They are now closing accounts or banning them without giving valid or not valid explanation, they don't reply at all at the moment. They are getting people money , now that is a time that the price of bitcoin is booming for the upside. Very sad but true.

Next time use a lot of acknowledged services from the users of the forum, if you check the service discussion board chances are high that you will not get scammed again, at least in the near or mid term future.

They are scammers and are staffed with criminals and fraudsters. Why would you continue using their services when all they do is defraud people?

BTC-E is a fraudulent exchange managed by criminals.

After reading the posts of @TroubleBuddy and @HornsterLG and the help that they received from some of the amazing members on here, especially @cryptodevil, I hope that by posting my own account of my troubles with BTC-e that my issues could be resolved in a favorable way as well.

My story

I have been with BTC-e since January of 2014 and haven't really had any issues with them before until recently. Last month, on April 4th, I requested a 2FA unlink because my old phone bricked and I couldn't access the authenticator anymore. BTC-e's automated response was to wait two weeks and then my account could be accessed. I waited for the 2 weeks to pass and then tried again to log in to my account, but now every time that I try to log in, the message that appears is "your account was locked due to 2FA unlinking. For unlinking you have to contact support." And just to test that my account password was still valid, I typed an incorrect password and I immediately get the incorrect password message and that I have 3 more attempts before my account is locked, and I also immediately get an email from BTC-e saying that there was an unsuccessful attempt to log in.

On May 3rd, I sent a support ticket to BTC-e asking for help in gaining access to my account, and didn't hear from them. I sent a follow up support ticket on May 4th to inquire about my status on the first ticket, and they responded to me:

Luckily, I had screenshots of most of the items that they asked for and sent it to them promptly.

Again, they were somewhat quick to respond, and got back to me with this message:

Now at this point, I double checked to make certain that I was emailing with the BTC-e support system and not a phishing scammer, and then sent over what they requested. After I did that, BTC-e completely stopped responding to me. I sent two more messages on the claim ticket but they have not sent me anything back. Furthermore, I sent them 2 more follow-up claims, none of which have elicited a response from them.

After reading the numerous ongoing posts about BTC-e and their supposed selective scamming practices, I am afraid that this is what is currently happening with me. I pray and hope that that is not the case, but when BTC-e's support goes completely a.w.o.l. and stops responding to anything sent to them, it is hard to think otherwise, especially after I have fully complied with everything that they have asked for. It seems as if the only course of action to get BTC-e to respond is to call them out on publicly on their terrible support, so I have no choice but to do just that as they currently are refusing to help me.

If anyone has any further advice or courses of action that I could take, I thank you immensely in advance for your help.

edit: Support responded to me this morning and said that all the necessary information was verified and that the account was unlocked.
