These are the people who do not care about their lives and they do not have any purpose of life. When the whole world is trying to protect themselves from covid19, they want to get money and for that they don't care if they get corona.
Where are the teachers and parents of such children. They are equally responsible for these thoughts and unsafe acts of their kids.
If their parents were just aware of the party, they'd not be allowing their kids to drive there.

I feel like strangling those kids, because this virus is no joke. How many of their vulnerable family members and friends got this virus through their actions and how many innocent people died because of their stupid actions?
My friends wife is working 12 hour shifts at the Pathology lab every day and are completely burnt out, because they get over 1000 swaps a day and these people have time for "Covid parties"

It is embarrassing, I could not believe it until I read it in several articles, I did not want to publish it, but I thought it was important to be aware of what our young people do in our countries and warn them about this type of action that can be classified as a crime.
Yeah, that could be a crime to humanity and the organizers should be brought to book for questioning. Human lives shouldn't be taking as just nothing before humans, they have the responsibility to keep their life safe from the pandemic ravaging the whole wideworld. Just when you think you have seen it all something like this happens, to be honest it did not occur to me that this kind of behaviour was even possible, this is incredibly irresponsible, it seems those students do not understand that even if they are not at the greatest risk of dying what they are doing is basically the equivalent of playing Russian Roulette with their lives just to win a bet, there are several countries in which if you are infected with the coronavirus and you go out of your home and get someone else sick you could face jail time, are they really that dense they do not understand the danger they are putting themselves in and others by this reckless behaviour? People had gone overboard on having fun, looking for the thrill of things to bet on. Organizing a party amidst the pandemic and risking lives for the sake of fun and thrill is absurd. It's not just them who are at risk of getting the virus, just imagine how fast the virus would spread because of what they have done. Some people are not taking the virus and pandemic seriously.
I never imagined such a thing could happen in real life. It's thrilling and fun to see this in movies or animation, but this is too much if you are speaking of real-life events.

I think that university students deserve to get in jail because they use Covid-19 as a funny thing among them. That is not a thing that comes from the "almost" adult people, and they don't have the right to play with the virus. It's about human lives, and that is insane. They think that human life can be used to play for gambling. I hope they can realize and regret what they did was wrong, especially they are from a university student who has more knowledge than the other people out there. Perhaps, that university needs to check student psychology because that is not a good thing to do by them.

Then again, people do participate in clinical trials with the risk of potentially ruining themselves. Most of the time, these clinical trials pay out in the order of $5,000+ though—I'm sure these college idiots aren't getting anywhere near that amount even if they win the entire pot.
It's probably more for the daring aspect of it, the same way people climb gigantic skyscrapers and tall structures just for the rush of doing it.

Well, we will never know. The possibility is still there even if it is low. And as you said, they are with their relatives. Because of this non-sense bet, the virus will spread faster than they have imagined. They should realize that this is not the time to make a bet like that. Man, this is not "low" probability. As i remember, around 60-65 % of young italians (means under 35 years old) living with their older relatives, like parents and grandparents. Maybe this one of few reasons why there was so big pandemia in Italy. And through american students situation the same (they living with their parents and others). So, such "betting" can be turned to much worse things.

It's good to question but we also needs to listen to others as we can't make every mistakes on our own to learn from.

I actually lol'd at this the first time I saw this headline. I thought Man couldn't go any crazier, turns out I was wrong. I wonder why people are willing to go the extra mile to bet on something even if their life depends on it? Not only that but it can also harm other people around them if they are not careful. If they will do something rash, I wish that they do it on their own completely secluded from the rest of society. These stupid bets are some weird things we would do as youth. I too had made bets on events that could potentially be hurtful. I remember be and my friends making bets like "5 bucks you won't make that skateboard jump" or "if you manage to climb that fence without hurting yourself I'll let you kick me in the nuts".

This is very alarming these people should be charged they should know that this pandemic is not a joke so many people already dying this is a suicide, these people are ignorant and they might infect innocent people, this is one of the reasons why the United States has not flatten the curve and the infection will continue rising because so many people there are irresponsible.

I cannot imagine that there are people, especially young ones, that would do this. I mean, for what? For money or for fun? Gosh! Covid-19 is something very serious. It's the lives of people that are at stake here.
It would be better if they just placed their bets on a game, either online or offline, or anything that would not put other's lives and theirs in so much risk. I bet the pot money wouldn't be enough to pay for the hospital bills of the "winner" when he tests positive on the virus. Thus, he's not a winner at all. This is so not worth it!

This is crazy, some people really have too much free time and they don't know how to spent it better, they come up with these crazy ideas that can ruin their health and life maybe.
I know about Slovenian roulette, we all know about Russian roulette, but few years ago I read about this new trend Slovenian roulette. What happens is that they make a big swinger party with all sexual orientations, but one of thm have Aids! They bet who will that be! Crazy what people do for fun!

Some university students in Alabama were denounced to the authorities for organizing "COVID Parties". The organizers of the party invited people tested positive from COVID19 to transmit the virus to the attendees. It was about betting on who would be positive for the virus first. They put money in a pot and the first one to test positive took the loot.
No wonder what is the defense of their parents regarding this resort?I don't know what comes to people nowadays,and these students seems not to know what is the consequences of their actions,yeah Young people with Good physical condition mostly survives this virus but what about their family members and friends?

It is embarrassing, I could not believe it until I read it in several articles, I did not want to publish it, but I thought it was important to be aware of what our young people do in our countries and warn them about this type of action that can be classified as a crime.

That is something I only have seen in movies,horror movies.It is incredible people are doing sick things like these to organize a party and to transmit one of the worst virus in history to other people.It is great that they are denounced to the authorities and I think they need to stay in jail for quite some time.
