I want know if in your opinion could have  sense buy some ASIC hardware (I see some product that have a performance of 500 kh/s sell at 70 $)
Hi there! Can you post a link to that hardware?

oh yes, something like this:

http://www.ebay.it/itm/ASIC-SCRYPT-MINER-GRIDSEED-GC3355-400-KH-S-LITECOIN-DOGECOIN-/171281591308?pt=Altro_Informatica&hash=item27e12dac0c
These devices are for sale at $200 per unit, and somewhat less in bulk. Make sure it's in working condition and not a scam, etc...

I'm looking into buying one myself, to have some fun. It needs some serious hacking, finding a proper way to supply power to it, some modded software, I'm not sure. Search "Gridseed" around the forum.

You will not get 500 Kh/s out of it, perhaps 350 Kh/s is more realistic.

Note that some people are dumping Gridseeds because KnC announced 250 Mh/s miner at $10k. When they release, you'll get minimal return out of Gridseeds. Edit: I don't vouch, even less for a pre-order, but check out this example group buy for the cost and the hashrate offered: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/closed-knc-titan-nightmare-522707

I could tell you that you will really only get 360kh/s stable out of one of those. Do the math and see how quickly you can get ROI on that.

Hello to everybody,

I am pretty new in mining.

Actually I have done some experiment with my laptop but this is not a good thing (low performance and damage risk for my laptop)

I want know if in your opinion could have  sense buy some ASIC hardware (I see some product that have a performance of 500 kh/s sell at 70 $)

What to you think about it? Is it wasted money or could be interesting?

Tnx
