Yeah, I have pool mined before. I just want to get a block. I know the chances of that on bitcoin and litecoin are slim to none, but terracoin and PPC, it should be somewhat plausible, shouldnt it?

Is there anything I can change on my end to help my chances?

Drop into D7 pool and you can set share difficulty. At that M/Hs it will be a better result.

Hey,

I recently purchased a 7970 HD sapphire video card and have been getting between 670 - 720 mh/s with it. I have been mining in a pool for around a week but lately I decided to try and solo mine, just for fun and to see if I could get anything.
I have tried with Terracoin and now with PPC, but no matter the difficulty (they both seem to have pretty major swings from low to high to low again) I am unable to locate a single block.
So, here are my questions :

-This is my cgminer output, After roughly 5 hours of PPC mining, my largest share is 4.84 K, is there a way to force my video card to only submit higher difficulty shares?
- When looking up calculators (for bit and litecoin, none avail that I can find for TRC or PPC) it says that it will take x amount of days to find a block, does that mean my previous unsuccessful shares help in generating a successful share? Why do my chances increase over a certain amount of days? (e.g via the calc here - > https://www.litecoinpool.org/calc?hashrate=750&difficulty=323.2741777 if I enter 750 kh's after day 14 I have a 50% chance to find a block, wouldnt the chance be the same all the way through).

Any information / advice would be greatly appreciated. I know I am not going to get rich / money from this, I honestly just want to get the satisfaction of mining my own block Smiley
