We can't blame bounty managers if the project is scam that's why some bounty managers will cancel their work as the bounty managers when they think the campaign is suspicious to stay away from great risk that the bounty managers and participants will end up with bad reputation.

Great point you pointed out here,and this very mistake is really contributing to the large amount of spam on the forum and most is due to inability to meet requirements weekly,which leads some members to one line spam replies as they are unable to make the large amount of posts required of them

And only those who do not see the forum as a sort of a job would heed to this advice,but those who do would simply join campaigns not withstanding the amount of post required and that which they can afford to make effortlessly.

Agreed. This one is important as reputed campaign manager will do research before starting a campaign.

But, aren't we encouraging people to continue campaign even with newbie rank? I mean the copper membership. Anyone can start a bounty, post an ANN. Also, there should have certain rules for being a campaign manager which may ensure us less scam project or whatever from the current situation.

That is the whole point of this thread, If you smell scam, make others aware and get out of it.



You already replied yourself in second sentence and reputed Campaign manager is not a single condition need  to be followed.  Even for a reputed manager you need to keep in your mind.

Me too I agree. But, what if a reputable manager is running a Signature Bounty Campaign that turns out to be scam? What will happen? I am aware that each and every one is reponsable when choosing a campaign.

I'm on the forum for more than 2 years and I was a participant of couple of projects which appeared as scam in the final. The OP's recommendations are that things that every user should to think about before to join, but from my experience I may say, that in the most of cases a participant of a signature campaign find out of its scammy nature postfactum.

doesn't guarantee the campaign it promotes isn't a scam unless a few weeks they discover that its campaign is an indication of a scam.

Including in your signature IS directly promoting it. Rule of thumb is : Know your stuff before you blindly put it your signature. There could be exceptions when the scam is well organised and sophisticated as this one but 90% of the time one should be aware what goes in the signature.

Don't participate in the campaigns which are not started by
 - A reputed campaign manager
 - Avoids escrow
 - Hires shit-posters

Recently I saw manager yahoo canceling a campaign because it looked suspicious. Arbitao, something like that.

Managers and users should be aware of the risks supporting some scammer project.

I completely agree. This point might seem trivial at first sight, but in my opinion it is crucial. 25 quality posts a week can be a bit overwhelming. At least for me personally. Not to mention that a lot of signature campaigns require posting the majority of your posts in the Alternate cryptocurrencies boards. Which is hard to do without being repetitive and without introducing some kind of spam. So definitely, the required number of posts per week is a very important deciding factor for joining a campaign.

Altough we already have a existing topic that explain the Signature Campaign Guidelines but I think it is time for us to add some more guidelines/suggestion  in it.

The earlier guidelines were more concerned about the spamming in this forum but I think we are now facing one more problem on top of spam , i.e is adverisement of scams or (Scam ICOs)

Actually, I got this idea for creating the topic while reading the post of the Theymos in this topic .


A simple extension may extend to promoting scam can cause -ve trust, even it is included in your signature only and you are not directly promoting it.

Let me put some suggestion for user advertising  in their signature space.

1. Check the links in your signature that you are advertising, make sure it is not some kind of phising link.
2. Do your own research before joining the signature campaign and do not join the project if it look shady.
3. Do not trust the bounty manager blindly even bounty manager can be greedy and promoting the project for its own gain.
4. Do not join the signature campaign that do not meet your posting habits. If your posting habit is of around 10 post per week than do not enroll in
   signature campaign that ask for  25 post in a week.
5. If you already got some hint that the project is scam then do not keep mum , even you enrolled in its signature or not. You can create a topic in  
   Scam Accusation board

It is our responsibility that we should not promote scam and help in preventing it.

PS: If you have some more suggestion that are not covered till now, Then feel free to suggest in this thread. I will in corporate them in this post.
