Once it starts rising again, we will also see new spam around: Those that shout how bitcoin will reach 10,000 in a matter of months.

That will be fun to see again Smiley

i think most of them are trolls trying to get a good laugh by freaking out others, but unfortunately for them the trick is getting too old to be funny anymore.

the rest might be desperate bagholders who are desperately trying to push the price down to be able to buy some more bitcoin and make profit from it.

They are always one of the two type of person:

1) Someone that already sold and is scared shitless that he actually sold at the bottom and keeps rendered an huge idiot in he following months.

2) Someone that still didn't buy and thinks spreading stupid newbie 1 post FUD will have an impact on the BTC price so they can buy lower.

It's ALWAYS one of those two.

Bears make new accounts to post bearish stuff under a different name.

Anyone can make as many accounts as they want, so can make lots to make it look like there is a big wave of newbies who are all anti-bitcoin, whereas why would someone actually find bitcointalk for the first time, then immediately post negatively?  They would be interested in the possible future prospects of bitoin, instead of immediately wanting to say that it is dead.

Why is it that every day I log on here, I see at least one new thread about the death of bitcoin, bitcoin crashing, etc? This has been going on for months, and most of these idiots only have 1 post.

Is something paying these douche bags to do this? I don't get it. It's sad if these people really have nothing better to do with their time.

the troll club used to do such threads and troll in the wall observer topic, but they all now are in everyone's ignore list or banned, so they create a new newbie account for each doom and gloom post they make, so people will see them.

It's hard to take the paid shill angle seriously.

I can't quite see the head of JP Morgan receiving his daily update feed of pictures of old men sucking cock and the brainless repetition of the same tired old diarrhea and initiating another wire transfer with an approving nod.

They get off on provocation and sitting back and enjoying the reaction. It focuses on small communities where passion runs high. This one is a fine playground.

Haha this made me laugh  Grin Grin
I think there are some paid shills but the ones getting paid will be a lot more subtle, placing doubt in our minds about the future & success of bitcoin.
Like you said the ones that go over the top are just trolls or people with mental health issues.
The one we all know well is a real fruit loop, if he/she put half the effort they make here into a business or something they'd probably be really successful.

Just ignore them, they make no difference one way or another.  The price will do what it does and will be effected by things like news, difficulty, alt coin innovations, exchange hacks, etc.  Someone posting FUD is irrelevant and can be ignored if you want.  On the other hand you could always feed the troll if you are bored.

People just have fear and doubts like anything thats new.

Bitcoin is still new in my eyes even though its 5 or 6 years now. Umm, another thing is that most people just see too many price points go up and down and they focus that only when it should be looked at another angle as well.

Wait until there really is a big crash. There will be hundreds of new threads created every day by newbie one post accounts. They will all predict the impending death of Bitcoin, but suddenly disappear after it starts going back up in price again.

I've definitely noticed this. One guy that only ever comes around nowadays to be a good samaritan and warn us about big crashes and possible death is kwukduck but I haven't seen him in quite sometime. Guarantee if/when we dip below 230, he'll have a new thread up about a huge crash coming. Smh.  Roll Eyes

But a thread here isn't the cause of the bitcoin price crash (only in an economic/speculation point of view). I also think they spread FUD for buy some cheap bitcoin, but it is only a theory (a 'theory') and no, they are not paid to spread FUD and useless posts.

PS: I really don't want to think bitcoin is only a speculation, c'mon people (oh yes, I forgot ... we are in the speculation forum section).

Lol, I know right.

There are theories about people hiring these accounts to move the market. No one really knows. It could be just one person who has some motive to create countless accounts. Perhaps they lost money in a foolish "investment" or they just like human energy and have limited ways of getting it.  Huh

It is possible someone is paying him but doubtful, It is more than likely the way he gets his kicks by getting a reaction from the bulls. Try not take it seriously because it will always be here.
