Some threads on this forum are for "hat only users", and it kinda gives me a gang shit kinda vibe I like it.

I don't think anything about the hats is gatekept at all, but there is definitely a standardization when it comes to the majority of hats most/every hat-wearer has. For example, every hat seems to have these three distinct tears in the front tip of the visor:



But some users change and edit the base model around.

I also intend to create one on my own, but I'm having trouble finding a baseball cap mockup that looks like the hats bitcointalk users wear.

Is there any chance I could acquire the mockup so I could customize it how I want? Especially when I don't have a signature campaign enrolled. It's okay if it is not allowed 

Since I've joined there has been so much I have read, seen, and explored on this forum. I want to start posting on the wall observer because it will give me a reason to check it everyday, and there can be gold-mines of information from the wise users that post in that thread.

I also noticed all these people have hats.

I like the hats.

So off I went, searching for someone who would make me a hat to my liking:

Posting Direct Messages, Private Messages, or any other Private Interactions in a Public Manner is not something I make a habit out of, for obvious reasons. As should everyone. However, the interaction that this individual is getting praise for happened primarily in the DM's, which was 100% positive all the way around.

Reaching Out:

One night, while reading around on some history, I stumbled upon a post by a user named xtraelv. His post was about the days before bitcointalk, and had some cool fun facts about key cypherpunk community individuals, events, and the like. The hat in his picture was the carebare riding down a rainbow, and it just caught my eye.

xtraelv's signature had credit (at the time) for a user named madnessteat, so I went ahead and DM'ed him:



FREE he said. I wanted to cry lol.

Telling madnessteat What I Wanted:

As soon as he said he will do it, I ran to the Wall Observer to look for inspiration. Furthermore, I wanted the hat to make sense with my name. My forum name is a play on the famous racehorse Sea Biscuit. Good movie.

I ended up using JayJuanGee's hat as the base. Here's what I told madnessteat:



Unfortunately, animations are no longer available on hats.

I said to myself, "fair enough! No reason to stop, I'm sure it will still turn out great."

And thus, I patiently wait for January 10th to roll around. The holidays were awesome. I hope everyone's was too.
