Regarding your question that "no one is in control of bitcoins", it is true to some extent. But I think big investors are capable of manipulating the price to some extent. They can create huge price drops by selling a fraction of their holdings.

Talking about your question, my opinion is opposite from other people ideas, because I do believe that there are people behind the control system of the full operation of cryptocurrency business, because if no one who controls it, how can be a successful business if no one's control. Practically speaking, every business created are controlled by the creator or the owner who build such kind of business. Although there are some reasons that price movement of cryptocurrency are results of some manipulation that manipulated by big group capitalists. Maybe it is true but there is no strong evidence found or without a strong reliable source of evidence.
