Isn't this the concept of CureCoin?
For many years i have donated considerable CPU resorces to Seti@Home and The World Community Grid now days id rather mine some coins and get a few pennies out of it here and there.
But thats got me thinking.
Could you combine the two? A coin that can fold protiens as its being hashed out, coins can be traded anyways so they have at least some value, but imagine the Number Crunching that could be done with a coin based platform, Cancer Research? AIDS Drugs?
Ill admit i dont understand the blockchain i know what it does, it gets my money from a to b so i dont even know if this is even technically possible, but ive come to the right place!
