I've never encountered such problem. So time fixed it?

i had one problem like that for several times, it just proves that the system is just not so smart as human.

I have a strange situation. Isent my BTC from Bitkonan to BTC jam wallet. I was watching the transaction on blockchain. After 15 min got 1 confirmation but after few minutes it turned to be unconfirmed again. What happened?
I'd guess it's most likely due to the block which initially confirmed your transaction being orphaned by the network, where the blocks the network later accepted did not accept your transaction into it - so you'll just have to wait for another pool to mine a block and include your Tx. That assumes your Tx was valid, of course.

What many people might not understand is that 10 minutes is only an average confirmation time, but the actual time taken can differ by quite a lot. It's a lot like flipping a coin. You expect to get heads 50% of the time, but sometimes you might get 10 tails in a row. It can be frustrating when it takes an hour to get a block but that's just the way it works.

Glad it worked out for you.

Blocks can take a long time to validate, this is not uncommon
Be patient, no need to send SOS signals. The protocol is alive and well Wink

I love that analogy; of course I already know this... but when you're waiting for confirmations to get coins credited... the extended wait can kill!

All of my transactions have been sitting with the same number of confirmations for a couple of hours... This isn't normal is it?

Blockchain is only providing information on transactions.

The transaction itself is depended on mining network and large pool.

Evidently, lol. Since I posted this, I got 12 more confirmations, lol. I guess it was just a snag.
There is a block approximately every 10 minutes, however there can be 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc minute blocks and even blocks that take more than an hour. Well, I am glad that it was solved Grin

Yes, but very lucky event if first block took 1h30m and then in about 15m another 10 confirmations.

If at blockchain.info, their database got stuck for the 1h30m could be more likely explanation...

Ah! Then that's exactly it.

The standard deviance of the time to validation is high and designed to be so for some technical reasons that I barely understand
So in short, it's not a big deal

Which wallet are you using? It seems ticking over just nicely as it should: http://btc.blockr.io/

There was a very long block at 317380 / 317381. It took one and a half hours.

Edit: Interesting block: 317381
Transactions: 2358
Total Sent: 102,594.37 BTC
Size: 731.58

that must've been where my transaction was caught up. I sent some coins over to my Virwox account and it wasn't credited is all. As soon as they emailed me to advise they got the coins, I got another confirmation. Now I just have 10 more in transit

A couple of hours? There was a block that took about 1h30 just now. Followed by a 7 minute block.

That is perfectly normal. You should see confirmations for that. If you don't then your transaction wasn't included in the blocks for some reason. Check the most recent blocks for your transaction.

Would you mind providing a TxID for two of them? Their data's real-time for a few transactions I checked.
