That is what i like more about our president. He never fail to amaze me every time he talks. Very staright to the point unlike the previous leaders which are so tricky in terms of giving their ideas

If he stays in power for another 7-8 years, then I am sure that the Philippines will become another regional power, like Indonesia and Malaysia. He is a very powerful individual, with a lot of good ideas.

I also watched on how he did face those protesters after his sona.
Look on other presidents after the SONA they just go as if they don't really care for the people.
Only few people and countries does have this type of man.

Have you watched the state of the nation address of the president of the Philippines lately? if so, what can you say about it? for me, it was good, straight to the point, everything was just straight forward.
President Rodrigo Duterte is really a tough person in and out. He is not afraid to say with what he want to say everything is straight to the point. I firmly believe that our beloved president should be successful with his promises  in our  land and he will make Philippines become progressive. I wish him a good health to continually serve his beloved country and he will going to surpass every trials that he face in his life right now.

I also prayed that he will have a long life and withstand all the stress that he is facing as our president.  I also prays that he will finish his term as the president of the Philippines.  In the span of one year there were many great developments happened in this country.  We see that he is such an eff3xtive president and that this leader is not a corrupt.  Many nations were looking to our president and wished that there president is like Duterte.

All rants and very little substance. It seems that each year it gets longer and longer. Maybe by his last year it'll be 3 hours long. Though I give him the benefit of the doubt, it really seem to appear he use the state of the nation address as a bullying pulpit.

He was successful in reducing the crime rate and eliminating most of the drug cartels. So it is not like he is all words and no action. On top of that, he acted wisely when the ISIS tried to get a foothold in Marawi.
Although his methods towards the elimination of drugs from the country was a violent one, his results clearly speaks for itself, He is a very capable leader and is not swayed but what leaders of foreign countries think about him, he is concerned about the welfare of his own people and thats what every leader should be like.

Is there a link to the video on some platform to watch?
Maybe even a twitch.tv link to it if anyone happened to capture it while it was being broadcasted.
With english subtitles if possible. Embarrassed
Anyone? Undecided

But very little talk about other aspects of running the country. It was an hour-long agonizing talk where he disparaged people he think are against him, like threatening to dissolve the human rights commission, or at least fire the commissioner (who, by law, serves a fixed term unlike other appointees). One site even tallied all the cuss words he said through the entire event.

Just recently, "someone" has mentioned that he will file an impeachment complaint against the Chief Justice. I believe one is also underway against the Ombudsman. Basically what we are seeing is an attempt to accumulate all power into the executive branch, like what happened in Turkey and what's happening in Venezuela.

I personally think that it did not look more like a SONA, it looked more to me like he was just telling some stories which had no actual factual bases. Also, i noticed that most of the time, the statements that he states are opinionated, which I think is very unnecessary in a SONA. There are also a lot of issues that he was not able to go through. He only focused on the highlights of his administration this year, and he failed to address all the promises that he made during his campaign. I also think that it is improper for him to say bad words or curse during his SONA, because the whole country is watching him, and there are kids and children also watching his SONA. He proved once again that he is not a good role model and example to the people.

Are kids these days still required to watch SONA to report back to school? That's what teachers usually ask us to do when I was in grade-school and high-school.

Maybe they should stop requiring that of kids. He's not exactly a role model when it comes to proper speech. Imagine your children talking back to you like him.

I love it.  Straight to the point.  No issues to sugar coat.  I remember the line that he said that he is bully to his enemies.   Every topics that he discussed were straight and what I really wanted to hear.  There is no pretensions and no alibies.  I just love him.  He should live a long life as he will become the great leader of this country ever.  I also like the idea that after his address to the nation, he went outside and talk to the rallyist.  All their questions or queries were answered.  And it appears that those people were have no concrete plans really, they are there to just make a rally.

Wasn't able to watch the last SONA lived but have read about the full text. I saw a TV news about him talking to the rallyist outside. I think this is the first time that a President personally confronted the leftist communist and demanded a lot of things. President is all cool but looks serious discussing the demand from them. LOL. Security nightmares for the Presidential Security Guard. Some highlights includes his drug wars, which will continue, unrelentless, its either "jail or hell" for drug traffickers", Death Penalty, Mining - which will be tax heavily, Tax Reform, Education, Reproductive Heath Law and others. I think the people gave him a high rating with regards to his SONA and still have the full trust of the people. He even injecting jokes from time to time, typical of the President.
