The summer has passed and now it would be time again to compare these three projects - which progress have they made in these past months?
I personally prefer SONM. I think that the developers are working fine and the price of this token will grow very much

No doubts, Sonm is a winner today. So many development. But I heard that they change own business model. And now marketing is the main and to find constant clients for ecosystem. But I see that Sonm can do it because they made a lot of work already

Thanks for all the feedback. So I guess I will add Somn to my portfolio.

Yes, SONM has many developments from spring. Boot flash for OS creation, some other changes in the business way and ideas, working mainnet and more. I think today SONM is definitely winner from  this list

I see an interview with sonm and I little bit disappointed. They said that they going to focus on mining 0_o , they have problems: it is very hard for them to change system for new customers, they all have different sytems, so its easier for them to start with mining...

I'm trying to invest on one of them but it's really confusing. Golem is in Alpha, SONM has a nice Roadmap, XEL has almost finished product but not exploded yet. It seems that SONM has better development and GOLEM has already hit the top and XEL is stalling. Really hard to choose. What do you think about that?

SNM look better for me,,  if we comparing with Elastic and Golem project
and you already montioned the reason,,  Wink
a better developments is a big sing if SONM have a bright future my friend

I found a technical (and scientific) analysis on the main projects in the area (iExec, Golem and SONM):

Thanks, not bad. As for me Sonm is good as developing project. iExec as professional team. And Elastic as enthusiasts. But I have some doubt about all if this projects. And at first I don't like Sonm for their ICO and afterICO time

I would prefer Golem over SONM and XEL because they are most active project and the other ones seem to be a bit "pumpy".

Been a while since I saw my beloved Elastic been mentioned. It's officially the poorest performing altcoin I'd ever bought (which I actually also believed in). I'm still holding it, more because it's simply too far gone in terms of losses to really matter if I sell them all now. It's a real shame that its price hasn't reflected its potential and the brilliant minds behind it. But personally, I feel that's also because it was never really a priority for them. Maybe I'll be surprised one day, either way, no harm holding it, I STILL prefer it over SONM and GOLEM (which both had ICOs, so probably are worst off).

Out of the three coins, I will invest in SOMN. The developers are working hard to complete the product which has a real life use case. I have been holding this coin since ICO.

While I've stated multiple times I am eager to see how widely adopted the supercomputer projects are once matured, it's really been the adaptability of the SONM team, their continuous work under the radar and the community that has me really optimistic about this project. I think it is very undervalued at this price.

Very much, yeah. My bet is that SONM will first change the mining industry and then become more and more established for all kinds of shared computing opportunities (big data, cloud computing/hosting, rendering, machine learning etc.). And that's when big players will step into the game. I'm really excited about that. Obviously there's still much development left to do. But at least it's a project/token with a great use case.

to be honest I've never gained much advantage from it by way of arbitration.

i prefer sonm too. it has more adventage in short term.

elastic and golems projects are so utopic, maybe they cant give any product.

I sold my GNT for SONM. I liked the idea of GNT but it just hasn't delivered or kept the momentum up. I think SONM has a better growth trajectory

i am holding my sonms since sept 2017

i am waiting a big jump from sonm. its project "supercomputers" is really very good if they fulfill roadmap.

At that moment I think the best choice is Elastic, the price to enter is good, it can yield either in the long term or until a next pump. There are 3 good projects, but at the moment XEL is a lower risk bet.

It is a very bad thing that Golem and SONM raised significant amount of money from the space and have delivered shot to the investors. I don't see any of the two project making it to the top at all, they seems to me like an experiment and when they burned all the funds they collected from people the project will die a natural death

Without a doubt, SONM. It's the project with the most possibilities. Basically with SONM you can do all kinds of shared computing. The team is one of the best I have yet seen in crypto. I feel absolutely confident holding SONM for months/years to come. There's even a challenge to run Golem and iEx.ec on SONM.

The Standart Protocol - Solving Inflation
If you choose one of these three coin then choose sonm for very long term investment. Sonm is the only coin which have small return compare to ico price. Xel ( elastic ) / golem have already really high and the early investor already get a very huge ga8n. Sonm just wait for the system to be more stabilize.

I dont recommend for buy elastic, instead of it, you can buy golem they are working very much and rising very good. Sonm is also good project and team I guess.

Why wouldn't you recommend buying elastic? It is more undervalued than the other 2 projects, so it may rise more in case of success, why do you think it is worse?

If you want to invest I suggest invest your money to sonm because for sure it will increase the price in the future and maybe if you have. Alot of sonm in your wallet you will earn a lot of profit in the future . Im very happy to part of sonm project and I gain profit because of that so if you to earn more profit sonm is the best answer for that . But all decision is your .what ever happen it was you.
Do they pay any rewards for saving in the wallet? If yes, which wallet is the best for saving sonm tokens, currently i am saving them in my metamask account
Not yet. You will be able to receive "network fees" once the platform goes live in August 2018 I believe. So until then it doesn't matter where you keep your coins. Just make sure they're safe and try not to keep them on an exchange.
I've been accumulating SONM for a while now, but never heard of payment from network fees - basically, that is staking, right? In that case, need to increase my bag then

I agree. Well when price is somewhere low like right now it's good to invest, I think. When people start to use their program in a few years or maybe even next year, price will go up exponentially.

I like blockchains addressed to supercomputer Smiley. I saw Golems program on youtube and I must say that is a very nice program. They all have a potential which depends on their skills and work. It's not easy to do that for sure.

Easy or not, but Golem had a great history in terms of value and it's extremely undervalued ATM and looks like all this is being done under the pressure that everyone needs to get their share of BCG and alts may start to pop up again once all the shit disappears. It's better to wait before everything settles because the blood bath may continue and you might sell your coins in panic. Wait for the best price currently. GNT is great in its Alpha phase and that, their use case of Blender Rendering provides CGI artists a much better experience through renting other users' resources. But the value of these coins is being deflated taking Bitcoin price hike into consideration, so let BTC go calm and then buy it.

its hard to say long term which project (if any) will come out on top. As was mentioned above none have a working product to date, as such large speculation on which might be first to market here.

$XEL - Showing a great entry point around 10k sats right now on TA, a strong Buy IMO
$GNT - Sideways movement likely until the next dev update, a hold for anyone already in - otherwise wait for entry in the future
$SONM - hype/pump in past days - potential for another leg up but would wait for a better lower entry if not already in
We couldnt really predict the future of these coins. Though Sonm is one of the price that has been huge pump lately so better make a wise decision to search which is worthy to put your money.
Charts by themselves aren't a good predictor of price movements. SONM might've made a large jump recently, but technically it's only trading at about 40% over its ICO value. There's still quite some room upwards in the short-term, perhaps after a very brief retraction.

We need to dont forget iExec RLC.  They are considered to be their opponents.

Are all of them competing in the same fields? I know iExec RLC and Golem could be considered competitors, but im not sure about the rest. I have heard a lot of these "shared resources" projects and I like the idea of renting my computing power for something that is actually useful rather than calculate math problems for a PoW blockchain. I think there's a lot of computational power being wasted with Bitcoin. We are actually so protected that we can afford less hashrate and I would like a project like Golem to succeed, but so far I haven't seen much but vaporware so hashrate might as well stay in BTC.

Thank you all. It seems that SONM is better investment. Good entry point is necessary since it rose a lot in the last days. I guess a good correction will give me/us a good entry point. I wasn't sure about GOLEM and don't want to invest to it since XEL or SONM are better for investment.

I was also checking IEXEC but it's about Cloud Computing. Different than the others but it also looks promising.
I have a hard time seeing cloud computing survive in the event that decentralized computing becomes a mainstream thing. If a lot of people actually start offering their hardware for rent the prices for computing power will decrease tremendously. Perhaps even to a point where cloud computing will no longer be sustainable / competitive.

Quantum computing is slowly picking up pace as well, as there is now a fairly clear idea of what needs to be done to test whether or not quantum computing is feasible or not. Of course, both of these technologies are long-term and in the meanwhile cloud computing will thrive. But who knows for how much longer.

Well, from those 3 I think SONM will have the best performance in next 3-6 months. SONM team is hard working and determinate and the current price is low enough for investment.

I've been saying this since SONM's ICO. But here we go again. If SONM makes a similar move as Golem did, it could reach anywhere from 30 cents to $1.20 by the end of the year. So far SONM has exceeded Golem's performance, so topping that range or actually becoming stable upward of $1 is not too unlikely for SONM.

It also has a more ambitious product and focuses on development instead of marketing. Golem has done the reverse, which I find to be the wrong move. If SONM ends up with a working product before Golem, it won't even need to use that much funding for marketing, since it can basically leech off of Golem's and Elastic's marketing in the development phase...

In short, SONM has a much more efficient allocation of funds and so far had no delays on development milestones. That's why my biggest stake is in SONM, with much smaller positions in Elastic and Golem just in case.

Elastic should be the best choice for you, because as you can see to join in the sonm already late for you because there is a chance to get trapped in the high price caused by the short pump to the sonm token.
Golem seems to be a recomended thing for the long term hold in this time.
