so it was a game , i thought it was a word that have been stick together . its my first time to hear a game like this but indeed its expensive to start with and its not suited for me because im only a budget gambler  .
your strat looks good and if you can build money that way , why will you still gamble it afterwards and risk of loosing it all ? and why would you not withdraw it if you have the chance .

Sorare wants to be more readily available to new players based on getting cards from players but in the NFT version each card can be used in the league and your player's rating depends on their performance in real life matches twice a week, thousands of players compete across different categories to win new rare cards but for example cryptocurrency ethereum. To better understand the mechanics of the game you need to search the site.

I tried sorare a few months ago but i did not invest any money into it. Then i "played" it for a few match days but i  found that the game was pretty boring, as there really is not much to do. You just register your Team for the matchday and hope that your players are performing well or even get to play at all in the real world because that is where sorare gets it's player ratings from. So if you only have a free team without expensive players you don't have a chance to be successful. That is why i stopped "playing" sorare.

Yeah, Sorare is not a game to play daily. It's a game for people who follow football to play once or twice per week when their players actually play. But I wouldn't say that it's a boring game. It's just different than other games that you play every day and have to complete quests.

Like someone said before, Sorare is a great way for someone who follows football to earn some money. The biggest drawback is quite large initial investment because for some 1 ETH is nothing, but for the "normal" crypto enthusiast it's a rather large sum.

completely agree, would just add that this is not a FOMO, it is a NFT card with several utilities (it is not as buying jpeg for further selling for higher price)

Sorare is a platform that is issuing cards and selling them, through organizing primary and secondary market, but there are also other providers that use cards for their games, two most popular being - soraredata and soraremega, so you can playing with your cards this games as well, prizes on this platforms are lower and seasonal (there are cups or seasons that last month or several months), and I expect that number of similar platforms will certainly rise

I did some research about this game and found out that this is an NFT released way back 2019. The cards trading and selling looks like cryptoblades but has different gameplays, and sorare last longer than cryptoblades. It's also like Axie Infinity because of the price or each team is a bit expensive but worth for the long run. However, this is also a high risk, high reward move, so if you're just gonna do it because of FOMO, I don't really think that's a good idea.

But if you're gonna Do Your Own Research about it, then I guess you should be fine.

I don't think that FOMO is the reason why people are playing this game. I played it in the start, but I quickly lost interest because I don't follow football so I never knew which players should be in the roster. I don't remember how much ETH I invested in the game, but if I recall correctly I ended up covering my initial investment when I sold my players.

That sounds interesting but as for me and practicality speaking, there would be better allocations for that amount. I still find it risky and would rather focus on more profitable games. Yes, any form of NFT game or gambling is risky but choosing something that we could handle well would be an advantage.
Yes, that will depend on each gambler because if they can afford the loss, they can easily use big money than the other gamblers. But if they do not have much money, they do not have to play like the others, which can make them have a chance to lose the money shortly. The allocation of the money will determine you to place the bet but that will be too risky, especially if we do not calculate how good our chance to win on the games. It is better to play as we did before and not trying to break our limits.

I don't think this fits perfectly in the gambling discussion board (correct me if I'm wrong), more like it fits in the Altcoin Discussion since Sorare is a game based on Ethereum's blockchain technology and recently they partner with La Liga to provide NFTs to the players.

Yes, I thought I could compare it with Fanduel doing fantasy basketball and other sports but upon checking it's not. This is literally an NFT game.
Buy their cards, create a team. OP seems to misunderstand the difference between gambling and risking your money by investing.
I'd rather stick with real sports gambling than this. There may be some who like the idea but it doesn't really look interesting to me.
Good luck, OP. Hoping for the success of that project.

First time that I've heard of this game and I am not a fan of fantasy sports so I don't have any future plans participating in any of them plus what's so different to it than actually betting on an actual sport?

Recently I have been getting deeper into sorare.

I love crypto, I love fantasy soccer. So this would be a perfect match for me. I have been playing around with some pocket change but I noticed that if you want get in more serious and really want to make some money out of it you already need €250-500 to set of in a decent way.

As I do not have my desired amount of money to put in already I started of with a lower amount and try to make some money on buying and directly reselling the cards for a small profit to build a larger balance in that way.

Are there other people that love to get in sorare but find it to expensive to start seriously?

There are many ways to make money, you can make money online by trading, but without despair, making 250Eur is difficult, although for many it is little money, the truth is it costs a lot to do, now some prefer to do other things, such as playing online, not online. casinos, but in NFT games, in casinos you can make money quickly with a good touch of luck, but it is a very very high risk factor, I do not recommend it, but currently there are new NFT games that require a minimum investment, and making Some Farm you can increase the money, it takes time, but I think it is safer. Like everything, it is also a risk but I think it is less risk than betting it or losing it in trading.

That amount of money is negligable compared to money you need to get a start on NFT games like Axies.
ATM if you want a good start, you need anywhere from 0.5 ETH upwards. So this is really nothing imo

where do you need 0.5 ETH for a start in Axies, or Sorare?
in Sorare, to start with a good team, not in a Limited categories, you need above 1ETH for a team that could win constantly 0.02ETH per round, probably a bit more than 1ETH
with Limited cards, you can start with 0.15-0.2ETH, depend on your goalkeeper, but do get your hands on rewards, probably closer to 0.4 ETH to make a good team

for Axie, you can start playing and earning with 0.3 ETH, and if you want to fight in P2P battles, than you have to invest more

but, I would not compare these two, Axies are mostly grinding, you can have linear earning in daily quests and missions, and Sorare is based on a fantasy, so even 2ETH investment not guarantee you rewards

~snip
Just like any other trading card game that's the gambling side of things, there are cards that will eventually become expensive since there's different tiers on how much cards would be available. It's not directly gambling like what most of us are used to but you're still putting money on the line just so you could earn back the budget you've spent.

it is not gambling at all, cards that you buy for this season, could play you for several seasons, I am playing the game since 2019, and all cards bought then are still active, and I could earn if these players are good
basically, it is five players teams, that are valued based on their play for real teams
I am active in the game, and could provide answers, if someone is interested

regarding NBA fantasy, up to now, there is only NBATopShot, but those are moments, and earning is mostly based on Showcases, that comprise several moments, based on a requirements, Sorare has better utilization, IMO, but with all said, I would not connect any of these with gambling

~snip

OP, if you have experience in the game Sorare, can you share here, I mean the real experience you've had.

what you would like to know, I am actively playing Sorare, on earning side, if you are watching football closely, and follow teams from Belgium, Austrian league (players from La Liga are more expensive, but do not score necessarily better), you can make solid yield on your investment, basically with a 1ETH team value get at least 0.02 ETH per week (I am making somewhere around 0.02 ETH per week, so could say that), to get cards as rewards, as well, you need better team, and a bit of luck for your players to be consistent and score above 70 weekly

It's still gambling though so it still fits that it's in this part of the forum. This is the first time that I have heard of a fantasy sports so I really don't know much besides that it's sort of an NFT game in a sense.

I have not really tried these things. But for the people who does not know what it does mean in the first place lemme just quote a thing from google.

Quote
Sorare is a global fantasy football game where managers can trade official digital collectibles. It is on a mission to make crypto fun and accessible to all through fantasy football. Based in Paris, Sorare provides a soccer team management game with digital NFT cards that fans can collect and trade.

Well I do think that I prefer going for the normal sports gambling since the sorare is definately more expensive and therefore it also takes a while to learn And you might need a lot of practice since it won't just be based on luck.

For me this game would require a lot of hardwork, therefore this might not be the perfect thing for most people for sure. Because most of the time people do try and just play it for fun.

If you can not afford a big loss, playing with a small amount will be better so you do not have to face a big loss. With that small amount, you can play seriously and if you have skills (if that game requires skills), I am sure you can make decent money. Maybe you do not need to play seriously but because of fun and spend your free time but after you got much money, you can play it more seriously so you can have a chance to make big money. But that will not always guarantee winning big money.

From what you tell me it sounds interesting to try, although I don't fully understand how to play the game Sorare which is called 'fantasy football online', I try to read and understand the contents of this article: Sorare: Beginner’s Guide (2021), but it doesn't have a good function for me.

I haven't heard of Sorare up until now, I must say it looks interesting for a fantasy league since the cards reflect the actual performance of the players. I want to give it a try but since the recommended budget is somewhere around a few hundred euros i'll just have to observe them for now.

Like in an NBA Fantasy game where you can create your own team and beat the other managers. Climb the leaderboards and be one of the winners either weekly, monthly, or how long the season is. Maybe the gambling part is the investment feature, the economic side since a manager needs to buy good cards to be able to have good competition on the leaderboards and tournaments.

suits in both I guess. In my opinion beside the wonderful game and everything around they provide for me I seen sorare as a real gamble as well. I have seen cards purchased on a daily basis for thousands of € not knowing if they will hold same or increase in value over time. For example I have seen a limited cards (yellow one which have a 1000 cards cap) of eden hazard going for almost €1500. If he gets injured like last year then its a serious gamble in my opinion

It is a gamble for the game, not for the money... There is no loss of money for every loss you get in the game.

I see this more of an investment rather than gambling.

What you are saying that it is a gamble is can be said to investing in some new coins. You can gain large incomes from your investment but you can also lose. BUT ITS NOT GAMBLING

Is there any gambling-related feature on that "Sorare"?

Not familiar with it. Checking the site, it's a fantasy game and like the usual competition here, it will be on tournament on mode without gambling. It's not a gambling site but more on playing with digital cards. Maybe close to NFT cards collections.

Or maybe I just didn't check the gambling feature of it?
Yes and as I checked it,  the application seems to be an NFT game rather than gambling so this should not be here in gambling discussion.
Card base game with the marketplace as buying and selling them. There is also the option to play in their tournaments and earn their coin by finishing at the top ranks.
This is investing in altcoins and not really like the gambling we do at betting sites. Maybe OP is just confused and thought it was a sport betting for football.
I seen sorare as a real gamble as well.
It's not. It's a risk you took from investing in NFT cards and you use them for the tournaments. There are really no loss unless the project becomes a scam.
