People will say this is amazing, but it really isn't, IMHO.

It's one site that acts as a 3rd party for 50k hotels, ,inns, pubs... it's just a lot of crypto hype (which I don't mind). But it's basically hot air.

Because there are a lot of debit cards out now that specialize in Crypto-to-debit. For example, BitPay, which I use. You send BTC to your BitPay address, and it converts it to fiat. Then you just use the debit card for an unlimited amount of worldwide hotels, resorts, bars, etc. Tongue

So this Korean site is basically nothing special. S. Koreans can just send their btc to a crypto debit card then use it anywhere debit cards are accepted.

this is what i have always been interested in to see bitcoin be used as a payment when you travel abroad. it makes a lot of things much easier in my opinion and also a lot more secure. you won't have to exchange your money to their local currency so you save on a big fee here, then you don't have to exchange back the remainder so another fee saved. then you will never run out of money because you can take any amount of bitcoin with yourself in the safest way possible. for example you can have 10000BTC stored in a hardware wallet or a paper wallet and travel with it safely and have a hot wallet on your phone that you use for payments.

Nice to see some good news, like a fresh breeze in times of nasty correction.
From business view ,it is only logical because of the huge popularity local companies just had to take advantage.

Now let us reflect and recall the fake news about Korea's desire to ban Bitcoins. Well we have proof that the instigator of fake news is  MSM.

Donating 10% to charity
Wow, what a great news! I wish more companies start to accept cryptocurrencies. If this happens I believe volability of crypto would not be bad as now. People will start to consider it as fiat currencies

It will eventually happen. Patience, young padawan.

Bitcoin is in it's early stages, it's a matter of time and people's education. It have all the good aspects to be better than the regular currency widely used before the Blockchain technology. Now times are changing and this technology will change the world.

Some of us might seem like visionaries without proof, time will reveal all the proofs itself.

Wow! Thats amazing you can have vacation in korea using your cryptos only and not converting it to real money, So if you have so many save cryptos out there you can have a good use of it rather than staying it on your wallet and the prices is not the same so why use it on a vacation so that it can be useful..

Taiwanese Airline to Accept Cryptocurrency Payments for Flight Tickets

Asia is probably the most cryptocurrency receptive part of the world where, in addition to a strong bitcoin trading mania, you can already find many regular companies accepting crypto payments to attract new clients. Asian consumers now have yet another way to spend their bitcoin: buying flight tickets for travel around the region.

Flight Bitcoin Air 101 Ready to Depart

Taipai, Taiwan

FAT Taiwan Inc., the company behind the Far Eastern Air Transport brand, has announced that it will accept crypto payments for tickets, making it the first Taiwanese airline to allow its clients to fly for cryptocurrency. The airline says it will fully accept cryptocurrency for the payment of tickets and all relevant services, with the aim of becoming a pioneer of cryptocurrency adoption in the aviation industry.

Zhang Gangwei, the airline's president, commented: "The widespread use of cryptocurrency in various scenarios will usher in a new future for the airline business, lodging industry, OTA (Online Travel Agent) and the entire tourism sector. FAT is about to be the number one in the industry to embrace cryptocurrency and blockchain technology."

Fly to China, Japan, South Korea and Beyond

Far Eastern Air Transport (FAT)

Far Eastern Air currently operates flight services around east and southeast Asia, including lines to several cities in China and Japan, Cambodia, the Philippines, and South Korea as well as a number of destinations across Taiwan. According to its announcement (text in Chinese), passengers will now be able to enjoy a more convenient and "discounted" booking experience using cryptocurrency as they purchase from its over 20,000 flights a year and all related travel products of the company.

Considering its home and target markets, it is no surprise that the airline wants to be seen as a crypto pioneer. Besides the regional media attention that it will no doubt bring, accepting cryptocurrency payments will hopefully attract the many passionate bitcoin traders and users that Asian countries, Japan and South Korea specially right now, are known for.

And if you are a crypto flyer and looking for a place to land, it was just reported that a South Korean travel website with over 50,000 hotels and other types of accommodation facilities will also accept cryptocurrency payments.
