When you create a new worker in HiveOs, you need to enter its name. This name will be used in the miner settings if required by the pool. Also, this name will be used by you to monitor the mining farm.

I don't think i named my rig, using a name with a space inside, so it's a default name set by HiveOs in the beginning of its installation.
I'm just so dazed for the fact HiveOs uses names with a space inside, as a dafault behaviour, since that name is also used for the miner pool configuration that uses just that name as the ending part of a fundamental string such as "walletAddress.workerName".
Just that.

Hi everybody,
i noticed that the default worker name in HiveOs, contains a space, such as:

Rig #12345466

but there are many pools that require the worker name at the end of the wallet address, in the form:

wallet.workerName

i don't think it's correct to specify the address such as:

myWallet.Rig #12345678

because there is a space char between the substring 'Rig' and the substring '#12345678', so do i have to specify only the number from the '#' character?
So the right address for the pool should be:

myWallet.#12345678

?
Thanks in advance!

For one thing I would never put a spaces or hashes in a workerName just to avoid ANY issues like myWallet.Rig12345678.

Yes, this is what i wrote in this post.
But the name of my worker, with a space inside, is the HiveOs default behaviour, strangely.
So what is your answer?
Do you recommend me to manually change the name of my rig, removing the space from HiveOs settings?
Thanks.

Just set the name manually. I cannot confirm what the default behaviour is in HiveOS as I don't use it.
