May be it is because of chemicals or you might have eaten it many times Huh
You remind me of something- What had greatest value has become valueless.
Anyways Check it, may be it is because of addictives.

firstly remember the ingredient listing starts with the most content and then decreases

spaghettios: 1970
tomato's, water, enriched sphaghetti, sugar, chedder cheese, salt, carrots, onion, flavouring and spice

spaghettios: 2020
water, tomato puree, enriched pasta, vegetable oil, extract onions, extract flavourings

alot has changed
the vegetable oil is to thicken up the sauce because of the extra water they are using. and means less added sugar is needed
less salt is less flavour. and the extracts(puree /onion) and lack of carrot means that it has less flavour mix
the 'pasta' is using alot more stuff in it

The Taste has changed. is it the sauce or is it more Additives and chemicals?

The only thing in spaghetti factory is that they has reduced the level of materials used in manufacturing of spaghetti, because I notices that before spaghetti used to be rise after cooking, but currently is not, and  the taste has change totally.because of some substandard materials used in producing it.

Over the years, everything will inevitably change. Moreover, I doubt that you always buy spaghetti from the same manufacturer. One way or another, they are different from each other. Plus, over the years, we have fewer different receptors, including taste, so changing sensations is the norm.

This is a serious concern.

I assume they have started adding more "O"'s and less spaghettis into their product

Nothing changed. They are just as good as before. Perhaps someone just forgot how to cook them correctly.

I don't know whether it's placebo or not, but I could swear old-fort cheese tasted a lot different/better. Bought one, and tried it, and tasted completely different, and horrible. Even though I've eaten this many times in the past. Tried 5 year old aged cheddar, yep those are what I remembered.

The cornavirus pandemic, is probably lowering quality and food standards, along with change of taste.

I also felt a different taste when I ate pasta and I think the reason for this strange and unusual taste is due to the preservatives that are used to store the pasta.

Wheaties and Cheerios stopped tasting good back in the 1960s. Somewhere around there, Quaker Life started tasting like cardboard.

The taste changed as a result of too much additive (chemicals) just to make everyone enjoy it not knowing that not most people prefer the old taste.

All products lose their flavor, especially if we continue to eat them on a daily basis, for example, so try to add new flavors or cook these meals in different ways and add vegetables and meat to them. I cook them deliciously.

Or you are infected by corona virus? Cheesy

One of the main symptom of covid 19 infection is loss of taste. Cheesy

Well, most of the foods are containing more chemicals then before and every crops were grown in most artificial way because company is looking for high yields to their company.

If we are complaining about the food - at least we have some to complain about.

Millions will die of hunger in the next few months.  Sad

I noticed few edible things are changing in taste, smell and quality too. My guess is that factories are making poor quality things to keep price thesame or prevent inflation.
I went & stayed in a town(with strong old traditions) somedays ago... It has lots of subsistence farmers, and I ate lots of their foods, lived there few days and felt really great compared to how I feel after eating where I currently live today. I do not yet completely understand why this is so. Probably Organic/natural-manure/no-pesticides VS GMO/pesticide/"chemicals"

I noticed all the tomato based "meals" change taste a few years ago.  Could be a new suppliers or new techniques.   I don't like it, and like JC said, the pesticides they use on the spaghetti trees are some of the worst in the world.

It's the pesticides that they use on the spaghetti trees. Smiley

Or more likely the cheap ingredients, and the additives that are used to prolong shelf life.
