I concur with the original poster, in fact I think we will see a flood of bitcoin related spam and scams over the several months. So if you depend on the email you used on Empty Gox for important things (as I do), you will be quite pissed off for a while.

Might I suggest that you create a thread on the forums requesting any and all codes that were contained in these spam emails? We hate spam as well.
Despite saying over and over again that their referral codes will not count they have not stopped spamming.
Most likely they won't.

I want to emphasize that TradeHill is not connected to the spammers.
