plagiarism.
why it happened when he did nothing wrong.
Each Bitcoin wallet must have different layers of security and different ways of securing it. But on average, they provide an option where you can add 2 Factor Authentication to give an extra layer of security to your wallet. 2 Factor Authentication is usually a verification via an SMS pin that will enter the mobile phone number you registered when you created a wallet, or a Google Authenticator pin that you can install on your laptop or on your smartphone. As a result, every time you want to log in to your wallet, you should be able to enter your SMS e-mail address, password and SMS pin or GA pin to access your wallet.

He/You plagiarized content. Plagiarism means that you copy/pasted someone else's words without providing the original source for the post, making it look like the post is originally yours.
The post that DdmrDdmr mentions could be the reason for your ban or any other post that was plagiarized. If you had quoted the post and added the link underneath it there wouldn't have been any problems.

Plagiarism is punishable on this forum with a permanent ban to you as a person including any and all accounts you have here.

But if I see from the development of media coverage that causes enthusiasm for bitcoin everywhere will create a very high demand. I believe prices will continue to soar many times over, I myself start investing some money into bitcoin. But of course I am not responsible for any losses that if it will be experienced by the reader.

The whole post seems to be written in 2013, despite being a 2017 blog entry.

"Strangely" enough, I found two other profiles that has plagiarized one of your posts, or used the same source (reported one; the other seems to have been astray for a while).

Despite the fact that the banned account is yours or is your friend, no one can answer your question if we don't know which account you mentioned about.
You have to give us: username or user ID of that account.
Later, someone will help you (includes forum staffs) which reason of that ban, and which post(s) caused that ban.

is permanently banned by forum moderators, possibly due to spam or plagiarism.
It can be both. But spams, as others have said, is less likely to cause a permanent ban of an account. On the other hand, plagiarism is more likely to cause a permaban. Because whether inside or outside this forum, plagiarism is a crime and should not be tolerated anywhere.

why it happened when he did nothing wrong.
He surely did something which caused his account to be banned. Moderators won't do such ban if there's nothing that will trigger them to do so.

Spam rarely causes permanent bans, if it is the first time that account banned. So, if it is the first time, the most probable cause is plagiarism.
You (he) should read my thread, to self-check that you (he) plagiarised or not.
[TIPS] to avoid plagiarism
If reason is not plagiarism, you (he) mostly will get first offence that lasts 7 days, not permanently.
First offence: 7 days
Second offence: 14 days
Third offence: 30 days
Fourth: Permanent ban

What I know is that heavy spamming can cause temporary bans like 7 days while plagiarism can cause permanent ban. In case of plagiarism, some were changed to temporary bans because they were able to prove that they have a net positive contribution to the forum.

Possible answers are both, but the heavy offense is plagiarism which is punishable with a permanent ban.

You can read this https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/unofficial-list-of-official-bitcointalkorg-rules-guidelines-faq-703657 pinned post above.
25. Ban evasion (using or creating accounts while one of your accounts is banned) is not allowed.[e]
snip-
33. Posting plagiarized content is not allowed.[e]

Or another case was found, ban evasion.

Who is he? can you share his profile link so that we can investigate?
