Dammit! My bad, I think I was a bit excited at the topic that I didn't really check for plagiarism. I'll be more wary with my merit next time. Kinda sad to see Bitcoin Discussion in this state.

Yes, I found this looking through your posts  Grin

Don't worry about it. I fell victim to this the other day. I even googled the post first before I merited it but got no hits. Turns out they'd done some 'text-spinning' to avoid detection. Such a sad state of affairs when you have to check posts haven't been plagiarised before you merit them. The sad thing is half of the 'best' content you see here is often copied from somewhere because people just don't have the ability to come up with their own meritable content. Though I have reported him yesterday for plagiarizing, but I'm still not sure if he is banned or not yet. There should actually be something to show if a person is banned or not if you open their profile. theymos should definitely implement this thing.
He's profile link:
https://bitcointalksearch.org/user/btcbullrun1-2364481
This is the userID: 2364481
You can check the modlog here:
https://bitcointalk.org/modlog.php
If you search it for the userID on the page, you'll know if he is banned or not:
Code:
Nuke user: N/A in topic #0 by member #2364481
Remove topic: Luxury Car Dalersehip Accepts Bitcoin, Basketballers to Earn Crypto in topic #5019700 by member #2364481
Remove topic: 10 Songs That Show Bitcoin’s Influence on Pop Culture in topic #5000166 by member #2364481

...
Though he had deleted all his posts, but the Merit he received would remain as one will still have the Merits given to him even if the post/thread he got them from gets deleted.
As he has been nuked, that merit doesn't count anymore.

Anyway, it's over now, I hope they have learnt the lesson...

I can't imagine how he/she gets that 1 merit on zero posts and activity?  Grin

He got that Merit in this post:

which I have archived here, yesterday (before he could delete all of them), as a proof for plagiarism. Though he had deleted all his posts, but the Merit he received would remain as one will still have the Merits given to him even if the post/thread he got them from gets deleted.

Because when you received smerit is not moderated that you can delete, it will still remain.

He thinks he's clever for deleting all his plagiarized and copy pasted posts. But, wasnt fast enough to delete everything before someone archive his posts lol. Good job @OP
Yeah, you are right mate, surely this is a true newbie that She/he knows what will happen when your work is plagiarized or stealing work from others. Probably, this newbie was trying to explore different local boards by having a troll post and copy-pasting which is a big offense from the forum.
Job well-done OP, this case is now over and hopefully, there are many newbie members had noticed on this thread now.

I can confirm that, since the Arabic language is written from right to left so it is easy to note that S/he uses an auto-translate and does not know that language.
S/He also has about 22 deleted posts/topics[1] [will be banned soon]

Thanks for the backup.

I think that he/she noticed this thread because of all his/her post and activity is deleted and back to zero.

This mistake can be done by a real newbie, or maybe someone is just testing a new kind of spambot...
Anyway, it's over now, I hope they have learnt the lesson...
I just can't imagine that people don't think that they will get caught when they do such obvious things...

He is so stupid that he copied the article completely and didn't even remove the lines that are for the readers on the website, examples:

1. Another article suggestion for readers of that article, in the post:

Original:

2. The text behind the image[1], in the post:

Original:

3. The tagline of the image, in the post:

Original:

It's not like he wouldn't get caught if he had removed all these, but still, you need a brain even for plagiarizing.

I have reported him to moderator, in case you didn't.

Archived the thread for future reference: http://archive.fo/jhvyd

[1] A property of HTML, called "title" is used to give a title to an image used in a HTML page, which is printed if you copy and paste the image from that page to somewhere else. Try selecting the image in this article, and paste it in Notepad. The text you will see there will be: Kim Kardashian Receives Her First Bitcoin.

Good day,
I noticed one of the member here post in a lot of local boards, and I'm pretty sure that he/she using google translate. To spam in any local boards and fast rank up.
I'm sure 90% of his/her post is copied and paste to google translate then post to all local boards.
