Well I think that many will use bitcoin for selling illegal drugs related because of it's anonymity. They will continue to use it because people using it is hard to track. That way bitcoin will be branded as drug money by many.

What do you think is harder to track? The $50 note you got from a friend of a friend, who bought a hotdog at a street vendor, and now you used it to buy a bundle of weed OR the $50 worth of bitcoin you bought from a exchange linked to your bank account or from a stranger < possibly a cop? > on localbitcoin or even the service you used online, that collects all IP addresses?

Think again, if Bitcoin is more anonymous than fiat cash? If I smoked some weed, I would rather buy it with cash.

i have recently read the article and i don't like these words "Bitcoin and drugs are known to go well together" and because someone else buying drugs using bitcoin but doesn't mean all bitcoins users are drugs addicts or drunkard and i think these news is too overestimated
Well I agree with you man. I think they cast their judgement without even knowing that many use it to earn money and for stock exchange. They also haven't thought that many users of bitcoin just use it to buy on some online shops easily without credit cards they just cash their judgment easily by saying that Bitcoin and drugs are known to go well together. I think this ain't right.

Just remember, for many years the Internet had no other purpose than to convey pornography.  Maybe the first five years (since Netscape) it was totally useless- unless you wanted to see naked chicks.

I see he was also selling drugs for erectile dysfunction sufferers. I surprised that they didn't say that Bitcoin causes sexual dysfunction.
very funny but bitcoin is just a process of payment anything can be bought using it as popularity keep moving up, i think this news only giving bad impression for bitcoin but it can turn to positive because after reading this news many an aware people will search about it especially those who doing some illegal transaction they will be attracted to use bitcoin too. we just need to be real bitcoin is already a currency so we cant stop this things to happen.

We will always see media exposing and trying to hit bitcoin from outside, the same way this person made its business with bitcoin, before for sure he used cash to do the same but media wanna say its bitcoin related.

Well the media surely wants to make news specially with new issues to make it more interesting to their audience. The news will create a possible advantage or disadvantage to all of us users. The advantage is that bitcoin users will increase and the demand will go up and also the price and thats good news. The biggest advantage is if the government instead of regulating bitcoins will ban its citizens from using.
