Additional information: Read below
Here is an auction for 5 coins from the
final batch of our 2017 gold parity coin, which we believe to be one of the greatest physical bitcoins of all time. The weight of the coin is 1oz and it is .999 gold. We are auctioning 5 coins from the third and final batch. The final third batch is in total 65 coins and the rest (60) will be on sale at Denarium.com after the auction.
The idea behind the coin is celebrating the 2017 price parity event of 1 bitcoin and 1oz gold. Also we believe bitcoin is digital gold and this coin is a great way to combine both traditional gold and digital gold.
As this is the final batch of the gold parity coin, it is now a limited edition series. The first batch had 23 coins, second had 48 coins and the final batch has 65 coins. That means the total amount of the coins is 136.
The coins in this auction are pre-assembled and the serial numbers of the 5 coins in this auction are: A60, A61, A62, A63, A64.
Differences to coins in batch #1 and #2In earlier batches the backside texts of the coin were misaligned compared to the frontside. This has now been fixed, so both sides are aligned. Additionally these coins include an official stamp certifying their gold content. This will now be done to all our silver and gold coins from now on. Also the packaging will include a production number for each coin individually (1 of 65, 2 of 65 and so on).
Pictures of the coinQuality of the coinThese are non-polished solid gold coins which have both shiny and matte finished sections in the design. The coins look good to the naked eye and we are happy with the result. This coin is worth the money.
Packaging of the coinEach coin will be shipped in a special packaging. The pictures are from batch #2 packaging and the change to that will be that each package will mention which production number the coin is (for example 1 of 65).
General informationYou are ONLY bidding for the coin itself, not the bitcoin value inside the coin. If you win a coin, you can choose to buy it loaded which will add 1 BTC to the auction price. Or you can choose to buy it empty. To the US we can only sell coins that are not loaded by us. The "empty" coins can easily be loaded with bitcoin value by the customer himself/herself, however.
Shipping costFree of charge worldwide! The value of this is around 50 € on average depending on the location, so keep that in mind when bidding.
Serial numbersAll the coins have special auction serials (A). The serials reserved for the coins in this auction are A60, A61, A62, A63, A64. These are very special since all the coins sold at the website will have either L (loaded) or E (empty) serials.
The winners of the auction can (in succession starting from the highest bidder) choose which serial they want. It can be the lowest available but also one of the others.
Shipping dateThe coins are pre-assembled however we have backlog from website orders. The coins will be shipped during January.
How to bidYou can bid for any amount of coins from 1 coin to 5 coins. The bidding format is "Nickname 2 @ 0.2" which means "I'm bidding for 2 coins, 0.2 bitcoins each". If you want to bid for one coin only, post "Nickname 1 @ 0.2". If for all of them, post "Nickname 5 @ 0.2". The auction is conducted by using 2 decimals only. So you can bid "2 @ 0.21" but DO NOT bid "2 @ 0.211".
So if I were bidding for 2 coins and 0.2 BTC each, I would post "Technomage 2 @ 0.2". If you forget to add your nickname, the bid will not count. So don't forget. It is much easier for us to record the bids when the nickname is also posted.
Each winner will pay exactly the amount that they bid. Meaning that if the highest bidder bid 0.4 bitcoin and the lowest winning bidder bid 0.2 bitcoin, then the highest bidder will pay 0.4 bitcoin for his coin and the lowest winning bidder will pay 0.2 bitcoin for his.
Auction rules- When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however.
- All bid prices must be evenly divisible by 0.01.
- If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will be first in line to win a coin.
- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify the nickname of the bidder, the price of the bid and the amount of coins the bidder is bidding for, or if they could not possibly win any slots.
- Winning bidders must inform me within 24 hours after the end of the auction which serial number they are choosing. Then the winner has another 24 hours to pay the full auction price.
If these rules are confusing, please ask in the thread and I will answer.
I reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win originally, will come into play and will have a chance to buy a coin.
