Just a quick note from me: there is some delay in processing this (and also the earlier) auction. I haven't answered or sent PM's in the last few days and won't be doing that in the next few days either. That is due to my personal issues, taking a few days off. Will not affect the promised January shipping schedule, I'm simply taking a few days off.

take your time ... hope you're well.

regards

As a "Newbie" I didn't have a chance to drop the post early enough. Newbie can post only every 360sec. Not fair in my point of view. But anyway my posts were correct everytime: Nickname amount @ price.

note you can also buy the non auction version on the denarium site, better than nothing.

you can purchase 'copper member' and that limitation should be gone I suppose. On top of that you will be Jr. Member before you know it, if you're a little bit active on the forums.

Technically incorrect bid as you should indicate the nickname in front as in "welshcollectibles 1 @ 0.072". I'll accept this now since we're not near the end but please use correct format in the future or the bid may be invalidated.

Is the auction over?

End date and time: Sunday 7th of January at 20:00 UTC and when there have been no new bids in *3 minutes*

If you see from the quote from the OP, which I cut out a lot of information, this auction is no where near over. I see you are a new user and I, along with the rest of the community urge you STRONGLY to fully read the opening post and look at all images posted in it because it will probably answer all questions you may or may not have

Was there a reason that these still have "2017" as the date?
Were these not planned out in advance?
Would have been nice to get a "2018" goldie.....

All of these coins were supposed to be launched a few months ago. Did not go according to plan, and here we are. The first 2018 coins will be a new series of golden brass or golden copper coins. Some time later this year.

Very good, thank you for the update Cheesy

Do plan on doing another gold coin later in the year perhaps with the 2018? or maybe that is a secret for now Cheesy

I have no intention of bidding but what does the back of it look like and is there going to be a difference in hologram for the funded and unfunded

The OP has pictures of both sides. Try to refresh if it is not showing and wait a bit, it can be slow to load sometimes. The coin looks the same funded and unfunded, the difference can be seen from our public database.

For the coins sold at the website it is different, the coin will look different depending on if it is loaded or not. Other one has L serial and the other E serial. Auction coins are different and all have A serials.

Affordable Physical Bitcoins - Denarium.com
Description: Special Auction for 5x Denarium 1/2 BTC 1/2 Oz Gold Coin
Starting bid: 0.05 BTC
End date and time: Sunday 7th of January at 20:00 UTC and when there have been no new bids in *3 minutes*
Payment methods accepted: Bitcoin
Additional information: Read below

Here is an auction for 5 coins from the first batch of our NEW 1/2 BTC 1/2 Oz Gold Coin, which is the little brother of our famous 1oz gold parity coin. The weight of the coin is 1/2 oz and it is .999 gold. We are auctioning 5 coins from the first batch. The first batch is in total 49 coins and the rest (44) will be on sale at Denarium.com after the auction.

The idea behind the coin is to expand our Premium coin selection with different denominations. Also, we believe bitcoin is digital gold and this coin is a great way to combine both traditional gold and digital gold.

The coins in this auction are pre-assembled and the serial numbers of the 5 coins in this auction are: A65, A66, A67, A68, A70. Hologram with serial A69 was damaged and will not be used for these coins or any other coins.

Pictures of the coin

Quality of the coin

These are non-polished solid gold coins which have both shiny and matte finished sections in the design. The coins look good to the naked eye and we are happy with the result. This coin is worth the money.

Packaging of the coin

Each coin comes with a premium coin album and a wallet card. The coin is packed in a square Quadrum coin capsule. This coin capsule has an Intercept technology with active protection against tarnishing.

General information

You are ONLY bidding for the coin itself, not the bitcoin value inside the coin. If you win a coin, you can choose to buy it loaded which will add 0.5 BTC to the auction price. Or you can choose to buy it empty. To the US we can only sell coins that are not loaded by us. The "empty" coins can easily be loaded with bitcoin value by the customer himself/herself, however.

Shipping cost

Free of charge worldwide! The value of this is around 50 € on average depending on the location, so keep that in mind when bidding. Smiley

Serial numbers

All the coins have special auction serials (A). The serials reserved for the coins in this auction are A65, A66, A67, A68, A70. These are very special since all the coins sold at the website will have either L (loaded) or E (empty) serials.

The winners of the auction can (in succession starting from the highest bidder) choose which serial they want. It can be the lowest available but also one of the others.

Shipping date

The coins are pre-assembled however we have backlog from website orders. The coins will be shipped during January.

How to bid

You can bid for any amount of coins from 1 coin to 5 coins. The bidding format is "Nickname 2 @ 0.2" which means "I'm bidding for 2 coins, 0.2 bitcoins each". If you want to bid for one coin only, post "Nickname 1 @ 0.2". If for all of them, post "Nickname 5 @ 0.2". The auction is conducted by using at most 3 decimals. So you can bid "2 @ 0.211" but DO NOT bid "2 @ 0.2111".

So if I were bidding for 2 coins and 0.2 BTC each, I would post "Technomage 2 @ 0.2". If you forget to add your nickname, the bid will not count. So don't forget. It is much easier for us to record the bids when the nickname is also posted.

Each winner will pay exactly the amount that they bid. Meaning that if the highest bidder bid 0.4 bitcoin and the lowest winning bidder bid 0.2 bitcoin, then the highest bidder will pay 0.4 bitcoin for his coin and the lowest winning bidder will pay 0.2 bitcoin for his.

Auction rules

- When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however.
- All bid prices must be evenly divisible by 0.001.
- If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will be first in line to win a coin.
- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify the nickname of the bidder, the price of the bid and the amount of coins the bidder is bidding for, or if they could not possibly win any slots.
- Winning bidders must inform me within 24 hours after the end of the auction which serial number they are choosing. Then the winner has another 24 hours to pay the full auction price.

If these rules are confusing, please ask in the thread and I will answer.

I reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win originally, will come into play and will have a chance to buy a coin.

Important: Auction payments should ONLY be paid through this BitPay Checkout page: https://bitpay.com/m/750380/checkout. Do not, under any circumstances, make payment to a Bitcoin address sent by PM.

Good luck!
