Denarium representative for Prasos Oy
Hello,

We have a new list of winners. Like teegumes and bavicrypto has been said: “When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however.” Our auction representative fell ill during the auction. We are sorry the auction did not go professionally. Inability to access Bitcointalk during the last day was also making it more difficult.

Ramelius @ 0.13
BitcoinNewsMagazine @ 0.128
hybridsole @ 0.125
Comit @ 0.123
bavicrypto @ 0.122

This is now the correct list according to our rules. We appeal to our "right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are
rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win
originally, will come into play and will have a chance to buy a coin."

Ramelius made a new bid which replaced his current valid bid. Our auction fill-in worker is not usually handling these, and therefore our mind-bending auction rules caused a human error.

From now on we will auction only one coin at the time with more simple rules.

These coins should have been designated lots 1 thru 5.

So much unnecessary confusion really..and Denarium should have been here in the last 30 minutes to clarify and update the highest bidders list.

I also see Ramelius only won one coin according to Teegumes list...shouldn't it have been two?

I mean I see that was his intention there..that is to bid on two coins.

Why would he bid higher when his first bid was one of the winning bids??

Yes the rules says what it says and if that's the case then the latest bid cancels the the first one?Huh

If 5 lots were designated one for each coin all of this would have been avoided. Tongue

Absolutely, this auction won't win the professionalism price!

I haven't been contacted in the meantime, Denarium hasn't been online since yesterday afternoon... Huh

And you are right about teeGUMES list, it should be as follows:

Ramelius 1 @ 0.13
BitcoinNewsMagazine 1 @ 0.128
Ramelius 1 @ 0.127
hybridsole 1 @ 0.125
Comit 1 @ 0.123

Anyway, looking forward to where this is going. Roll Eyes

Based on following auction rule:
“When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however.”

The 0.13 from ramelius should therefor replace his previous bid of 0.127.
Teegumes list should therefor be the correct one:

Ramelius 1 @ 0.13
BitcoinNewsMagazine 1 @ 0.128
hybridsole 1 @ 0.125
Comit 1 @ 0.123
bavicrypto 1 @ 0.122

Unless they say that 20utc was the actualy stop time or....
I don’t even  care anymore at this point, just let us know the winning bids please.

Thanks

Man... Forum was down for half the day for me. I just decided to jump late and found these...

Nice buy everyone, I would have loved to have a 1/2 oz gold bitcoin for that price.

Do you still have more of these coins and are there any plans to have another auction?

A snipe in this format would have occurred at 19:57:00 UTC and have had all other participants fall asleep for 3 minutes to end at 20:00:00 UTC. 3 minutes were added to the clock at 19:59:40 UTC and the last valid bid was at 20:02:40 UTC. The only questionable part of the auction terms would have been if this ended at 20:00:00 UTC or 20:00:59 UTC but this did not play a factor in the bidding.

3min after last bid seems hard with the website constantly going on and off today..
@denarium Let us know if the auction is finished or still running please

Just in case: bavicrypto 1 @ 0.126

The auction rules didn’t specify anything about forum downtime. By the way, forum hasn’t had any downtime the last couple of hours (unlike the rest of the day).

True, they didn’t specify anything about forum downtime. @denarium maybe something to include in the next auction. Especially on days like this.

Would also make sense to me, as they don’t mention anything about an actual EXTENSION beyond 20:00UTC. I quote:

End date and time: Wednesday 29th of August at 20:00 UTC and when there have been no new bids in *3 minutes*!

So it should’ve ended right after BitcoinNewsMagazine 1 @ 0.128 , right?

Accepting that bid that was the wrong format was a mistake. I will not revert the acceptance as we don't think that these current bids are the final winning bids.

Just to clarify and be consistent with our own rules, these bids would not count as real winning bids. So be sure to use the correct bidding format!

Description: Special Auction for 5x Denarium ½ BTC Gold 2018 coin
Starting bid: 0.1 BTC
End date and time: Wednesday 29th of August at 20:00 UTC and when there have been no new bids in *3 minutes*
Payment methods accepted: Bitcoin
Additional information: Read below

Here is an auction for 5 proof quality coins from the first batch of our NEW Denarium ½ BTC Gold 2018 coin, which is the new addition to our Premium Collection. We are auctioning 5 coins from the first batch. The batch is in total 100 coins, and the rest (95) are on sale at Denarium.com after the auction.

The coins in this auction are pre-assembled, and the serial numbers of the 5 coins in this auction are: A302 (1 of 100), A303 (2 of 100), A304 (3 of 100), A308 (4 of 100), A310 (5 of 100).

These coins are laser marked sequentially by the production order. The first coin is 1 of 100 and the second coin is 2 of 100 and so on. See the picture.

Pictures of the coin

Package of the coin
This coin has an entirely new type of package. High-tech CertiLine BarCard® package protects the coin from tampering activities, making apparent any forgery and counterfeiting attempts. When the BarCard® is opened, an invalidation warning will be displayed (SEAL OPEN) on the internal surface of the lodging card and the seal card. Undetected reuse or reassembly of the package will not be possible.

General information

You are ONLY bidding for the coin itself, not the bitcoin value inside the coin. If you win a coin, you can choose to buy it loaded which will add the BTC to the auction price. Or you can choose to buy it empty. To the US we can only sell coins that are not loaded by us. The "empty" coins can easily be loaded with bitcoin value by the customer himself/herself, however.

The denomination of the coin is 0.5 BTC.

Shipping cost and duties

Free of charge worldwide! The value of this is around 50 € on average depending on the location, so keep that in mind when bidding. Smiley

The auction price includes the possible VAT, import taxes, and duties. We pay for the courier company to handle the customs clearance as far as possible. Some forms or contacts to customs may be needed, but not likely. Therefore, you are not paying anything except the price you have bid.

Serial numbers

All the coins have special auction serials (A). The serials reserved for the coins in this auction are A302, A303, A304, A308, A310. These are very special since all the coins sold at the website have either L (loaded) or E (empty) serials.

The winners of the auction can (in succession starting from the highest bidder) choose which serial they want. It can be the lowest available but also one of the others. You have 5 days to answer which serial number you want, after that you get what is left.

Shipping date

The coins are pre-assembled. Estimated delivery within a week from the end of the auction.

How to bid

You can bid for any amount of coins from 1 coin to 5 coins. The bidding format is "Nickname 2 @ 0.2" which means "I'm bidding for 2 coins, 0.2 bitcoins each". If you want to bid for one coin only, post "Nickname 1 @ 0.2". If for all of them, post "Nickname 5 @ 0.2". The auction is conducted by using at most 3 decimals. So you can bid "2 @ 0.211" but DO NOT bid "2 @ 0.2111".

So if I were bidding for 2 coins and 0.2 BTC each, I would post "Technomage 2 @ 0.2". If you forget to add your nickname, the bid will not count. So don't forget. It is much easier for us to record the bids when the nickname is also posted.

Each winner will pay exactly the amount that they bid. Meaning that if the highest bidder bid 0.4 bitcoin and the lowest winning bidder bid 0.2 bitcoin, then the highest bidder will pay 0.4 bitcoin for his coin and the lowest winning bidder will pay 0.2 bitcoin for his.

Auction rules

- When you post a bid, the bids in your previous posts are considered to be automatically canceled. You can put multiple bids in one post, however.
- All bid prices must be evenly divisible by 0.001.
- If two people bid at the same price, the person who bid first will be first in line to win a coin.
- Bids are considered invalid and will be ignored if they do not specify the nickname of the bidder, the price of the bid and the amount of coins the bidder is bidding for, or if they could not possibly win any slots.
- Winning bidders must inform me within 24 hours after the end of the auction which serial number they are choosing. Then the winner has another 24 hours to pay the full auction price.

If these rules are confusing, please ask in the thread and we will answer.

We will reserve the right to reject bids, even days after the bid is made. If bids are rejected for any reason, the next bids in line that didn't win originally, will come into play and will have a chance to buy a coin.

Important: Auction payments should ONLY be paid through this BitPay Checkout page: https://bitpay.com/m/750380/checkout. Do not, under any circumstances, make payment to a Bitcoin address sent by PM.

Note: If you can not send a direct message here please use the email address [email protected]

If you don’t want to send your address through Bitcointalk private message, then you can also use Privnote service https://privnote.com/#

If you can not use the Bitpay because they now require a Payment Protocol compatible wallet, please mention that and we will provide you different Bitcoin payment option.

Good luck!
