am i allowed to post a thread here, which is titled with 'omg! is arriving!' or viceversa? i am sure that someone could create such thread to boost post count. it should be allowed if the content inside is constructive however.
Is this the place to speculate about BTC mining contract values (that are traded one exchanges)? For instance, the TH1 contract at Bitfinex.
No, Securities is where it best fits IMO. The speculative object is mining contracts, with BTC as the underlying.

On the subject of the deletion of the thread where I manifest that my hairy balls will manipulate the price starting Friday, was it because the forum has a strong Amish sensibility or is it that had I made the claim that my balls were hoping to drive the price down instead of being announcing that they definitely will because the latter is deceptive information and the former is the hope that my balls would have the power to drive the price down?

I'd be willing to mod here. The speculation forum has turned to crap.
Can we request a new forum moderator? Or at least an additional one who logs in more frequently than once over a 4 month period? These forums are currently drowning in FUD and misinformation posts.

I'd also like to request a rule change where people can't just yell "SELL SELL SELL" and "BUY NOW." There's a fine line between speculation and manipulation.
Generally speaking, that kind of posting isn't allowed, so use the report feature on posts like that.

- There is no tolerance for the spreading of false or deceptive information.
- News articles may be discussed here on the day of announcement, but afterwards discussion will need to take place in the Press section.
- Speculation of alternate cryptocurrency belongs in Alternate cryptocurrencies.
- Discussion of exchanges belong in Service Discussion, but services related to speculation may be posted here.
These are much more realistic guidelines than the previous!
