It's partially tongue and cheek, but partially serious. Considering the ever deepening sense of crisis, uncertainty and opaqness of Gox, one would think that regular PR communication would at least help assuage the growing sense of gloom regarding the future of Gox.

I thought the troubles at Gox are the new normal in the bitcoin world. A few weeks back there was the real worry that Gox would collapse and take bitcoin with it. Now people have come to accept it as the way things are.

I don't think so. The bottom has fallen out of the LTC market, the volume on Gox is dropping and very few people seem to be reporting getting their money out of the exchange. To an outsider, it looks like it's dying a slow death.

We all know this can't go on forever. Some has to give. Either Gox fixes what is broken in their withdrawal system/partners/banks or customers lose confidence, buy BTC, price rises, and gox goes the way of the Dodo bird.

They could roll Roger Ver out again and force ask him nicely to do another very uncomfortable video.

Its been more than 2 months since that video?

I'm not saying Roger is untrustworthy but for him to put himself out there for Mark/Gox in my view was not wise.

Yet the last update we had was August 5th and little of what was spoken of seems to have come true. It's still impossible to ascertain with any certainty what the withdrawal situation is, Gox apprently filed counter-suit to Coinlab, yet we found that out through other channels and Gox has made no mention of it.

So what gives? I understand this community can be spiteful and not very understanding, but withdrawing entirely into a cone of silence isn't helping one bit.

If I had to paint a picture I would paint a dark cloud over MTGOX right now.

Given their silence and "secrecy" of what is really going on and not actually fixing what has been broken for now...X amount of months, I still stick to the wise truth of "look at their actions" and not focus on what they have said or may say.

Talk is cheap. Actions speak much louder.

Gox's actions/inaction to actually fix their withdrawal of USD to the US is a huge red flag. I've stopped using Gox since early July after their "two week" hiatus turned out to be a bunch of BS.

What surprises me most is that there is still some people trading with mt.gox, giving them funds, and waiting for them to answer Cheesy

If they deal with this like they have dealt with the Bitcoinica fiasco, you should expect an answer about half way to never.
